Was it the second or third that the commentators mentioned he had blood coming out of his mouth? That makes sense. Really unfortunate, because he was beating Breazeale's ass.

Swallowing blood does affect your conditioning. I don't know the science, but I've always heard this. If you swallow a bunch of blood, it somehow affects your ability to get your required oxygen.

He was also going full balls to the wall. The combination of the two things may have been too much.

I think people want to see him again, and I hope he'll be back soon against another good opponent.

The guy put on a great performance while it lasted. Very entertaining fight and both fighters tried their best. Well done to the both of them, that was a hell of a fun slug fest. Hope Mansour recovers and brings some more fun fights to the division. Breazeale looks like another interesting upcoming prospect with pop who showed some true heart to take those shots and come back.

Shame when it ends that way but it was still the fight of the night no doubt.

Breazeale was out of shape and his punches were not crisp... I don't see a bright future for him...he was getting beat up by a 43 year old..

Boxing nowadays is so soft and PC...fighters back in the day would have continued...nowadays..the aggressor gets no credit if he doesn't hurt the runner badly... scoring is all messed up..hardly any fighters have any heart...dude quit plain and simple..had it been Pacquiao or Rocky Marciano..would have continued.. Amir WoMansour, you quit, plain and simple..don't try to use the "I Can't Breathe" line to gain sympathy for your quitting..you don't have the heart old man.. go retire...

Mansour's trainer didn't give a dam about him. Mansour tells him he can't continue and the trainer is telling him just move to your right smh.

I feel bad for Mansour, the guy is a hardcore fighter, but this is how a 40 something year old is supposed to look w/o PEDs. They gas and take big shots as a result. The size difference was pretty crazy, I'd like to see Amir get another good fight against someone closer to his size like Povetikin. He kind of looks like a HW Marvin Hagler.

If you swallow blood it makes you feel nauseous, which can affect everything. It's a shame he had to lose like this, but it was the kind of loss that shouldn't affect his standing too much.

Cong**** to Breazeale though for hanging in there and keeping the pressure on Mansour. The man is incredibly slow and sloppy, but he has guts and doesn't wilt under fire, which can net him some good wins in the future.
