Now answer my question... Do you even enjoy boxing?
The point is on fight night when fans watch they will only see showtime and not PBC. That only happens because PBC doesn't want or can't pay for it. People think PBC money is unlimited yet for months now they can't afford to pay for the best fights in their stable because the losses are mounting. Just like Jacobs vs Quillin was going to lose too much money for PBC so they shipped it to showtime to pay for it. The point is things are not going as well for PBC as you haymon fan boys like to pretend. Numerous media outlets report they lost hundreds of millions last year and can't even afford to pay for their biggest fights so they can put their brand name on it. Not a good sign for PBC.

all Thurman needs is a couple big counters to crack Porter's chin. Porter doesn't have enough power to really hurt Thurman. He's gonna walk into a big punch and it that will be it.

Or maybe Showtime is paying for it to promote the network since their ratings declined. See, I can speculate based on absolutely nothing too.

So do you enjoy boxing or not? I mean damn. This great fight coming up and I get baited into a geek debate about ratings and budgets.

PBC or not its a good matchup. I see Porter getting caught with something big trying to bum rush Thurman like he did Broner.

My guess from day 1 was that the delay was due to failed PBC ratings and the fight being too expensive for PBC investors to fit the bill and now it's being branded a showtime fight on CBS? You only do that if showtime is paying the fighter purses because why would you let your biggest fight to date not have PBC brand on it? If the ratings were better and PBC wasn't losing millions each fight this would be on PBC.
You're hilarious with your bull****, lol.

The fight is finally announced, the ringside seats have already been snatched up for the fight (whether by actual fans or simply re-sellers is irrelevant at this point), and Showtime has seemingly put up the money, to secure a fight that they've wanted to carry and air it on the biggest stage available to them, primetime on CBS.

PBC is opening their year with Garcia-Guerrero on FOX, with the rest of the Feb-Aug schedule likely being filled in soon enough.

I sincerely wonder for your emotional safety when all your "doom and gloom" hopes don't end up manifesting.

Styles make fights and Thurman backs up against lessor pressure guys so he will get pinned against the ropes and be worked over by a superior infighter. Thurman needs breathing room to get his punches off and Porter is not going to allow that.

Thurman-Porter is a PBC fight. It is listed on the PBC schedule. The Showtime fights have never been listed on their schedule as they are not official PBC cards, but this card is listed as it is a PBC fight. (As if the PBC logo at the presser wasn't obvious enough).

Find out what time the fight is, who's boxing tonight and where to watch. Official schedule of upcoming PBC fight nights featuring the world's best fighters.
