164 and it could have happened but Ward didn't want to compromise. Now Ward is already trying to duck out of this one too.......smh.

Likelihood of fight taking place, 100%. Ward moved up specifically to fight Kovalev. Doesn't sound like someone daring to be mediocre.

First thing he tried to do when he moved up was to drag up 168 pound guys not ranked in the top 50 at 168. Looks to me like he moved up solely because he couldn't make 168 anymore.

You can't bring up the age of Ward's opponents when Kov's best win is against.......a goddamn 50 year old.

CoWard is pretty LOL, though. I appreciate a good nickname.

It looks rather like HBO forced him to move up and he was more like (tongue in cheek) "yes, of course"...

Canelo doesn't have much to do with Ward and Kovalev, though.

If you wanna argue that Ward is protected in the sense that, he's only been fighting in Oakland, then OK. But he's not exactly avoided anyone.

Kovalev doesn't need catchweights and isn't asking for Ward to compromise. He is flat out daring to be great, you gotta respect that.

Golovkin could learn a thing or two from him.

We all love Ward but Oakland can't save him, Kovalev will Knock him OUT

Then Ward can come to 160 and get Ko'd again
