A prime Chad Dawson beats the crap out of kovalev.....who exactly has he beaten to be ranked with the past greats?
True or false: Sergey Kovalev could hold his own against any Light heavy in history?

It's got to be a yes in my view. Prime RJJ didn't always look like the superman we remember him as. Kovalev could get to him and has the chin to punch with him. Though it's definitely a possibility that Roy in his prime could beat him like 8-4. Michael Spinks could pose problems too.I voted yes. When you have his punching power combined with boxing smarts, a great left jab and killer instinct you have a very dangerous light heavyweight. He might get to fight Ward and Stevenson and they are two very good light heavyweights of today. Sweet dreams, Pascal.
But overall Kovalev could be one of the most well balanced fighters i've seen (excepting his balance lol)Comment

Heres a few "problems" for a novice Koval;
Ezzard Charles
Billy Conn
Gene Tunney
M. Rosenbloom
Archie Moore
Bob Foster
Mike Spinks
Saad Muhammad
Eddie Mustafa
M. Qwawi
V. Galendez
H. Johnson
J. Conteh
M. Rossman
Y. Lopez
R. Jones
J. Torres
W. Pastrano
D. Tiger
theres a few more who could beat him and give him all he could handle, for now!
I like him but he's far to green right now for the best of the division.
He has very little experience and has fought no one with high credentials.

I like kovalev, he's one of the best fighters today, would've love to see him against Michael Spinks & or Dwight Braxton. I think he's gonna put a hurtin on Pascal...Comment

I was a fan of Dawson but Kovalev would **** him up. I'm not sure Dawson has a single advantage there besides speed. And the Caparello KD was because his foot was stepped on and tripped him.I don't even think he beats a prime Chad Dawson, let alone top light heavweights in history such as Michael Spinks, Bob Foster, RJJ, Archie Moore, Bernard Hopkins in his prime, etc. He hits hard but he doesn't have the best defense and his chin is suspect, I mean got knocked down by Blake Caparello.Comment
