Povetkin is committed to fighting for the WBC title. He is not available nor is he interested in fighting for the IBF title.
I'm not surprised that you don't know what "available" means as the thread is littered with examples of you not knowing what words mean.
The reason Povetkin isn't ranked has nothing to do with ineptitude and/or arrogance.
I JUST TOLD YOU WHAT THE REASON WAS.
But I forgot, anything involving rules or facts, you prefer to write some fanboy fan-fiction fantasy instead.
But I'll explain it again for anybody that missed it before:
An IBF champion can only defend his title against a top 15 ranked contender. The IBF only gives a #1 or #2 ranking to fighters that win an eliminator for that ranking, so those rankings are often vacant.
Which leaves the champion only 13 potential opponents to try to negotiate voluntary defenses against. If those 13 spots are used up by other title holders, interim champions, #1 contenders or fighters who flat out just aren't interested in fighting for the IBF, the IBF champion's options and ability to defend his title is severely limited.
So by ranking a fighter like Povetkin, who is not interested in fighting for the IBF title and isn't available because he's committed to fighting for a different title, would just be hogging a spot in the rankings that is supposed to go to fighters actively seeking a chance to fight the IBF champion.
Anybody else find it strange that Aboutfkntime spends so much time discussing rules when he wants to pretend they don't exist whenever they don't fit his narrative?
