  • Floyd fans having a hard time with someone stating that Floyd just didn't do as good as they think he did.

    - The best punches - Thrown by Manny
    - The best counter punches - Thrown by Manny
    - Highlight type - Thrown by Manny
    - Blocked punches - blocked by Manny
    - Rounds clearly won - Manny

I think the Floyd fans got confused with this stat: if this defines a winner Floyd did win hehehe
    - The best hugs - by Floyd
    - The best head locks - by Floyd
    - The best running around and doing nothing - by Floyd
    - The best bending below the waist - by Floyd
    - The best pushing off the opponent - by Floyd
    - The best at fighting scared - by Floyd
    - The best at using his elbows - by Floyd
    - The best "touch jabs" - by Floyd
    - Did the stanky after a punch by the opponent - by Floyd
    - Used an IV - by Floyd
    - TUE paperwork and approval done after the fight - Floyd
    - Cheated - Floyd
    - The best judges that money can buy - by Floyd
    - The best ref that money can buy - by Floyd
    - The best drug testing company that money can buy - by Floyd
    - The best commissions that money can buy - by Floyd

    - The best at winning the round just because he is Floyd Mayweather and resides in Vegas, Nevada. Not because he actually won the round. - by Floyd

So you do the math, but it seems to me the 'by Floyd' are more so I guess Floyd did win lmao

Mayweather edges past an injured pacquaio by just 1 round and with the extra IV juice as a precaution and Kenny bayless as his personal assistant

      War pacquaio.
LOL @ anyone with half of a brain giving the 12th round to Floyd... he ran the entire round lol...

I'm being generous ....the fight could quite easily go to pacquaio ..it was a very close fight and if anything pacquaio had the more dominant rounds...but we all know what the outcome would be being it was bayless referring and USADA in control of the testing...i feel pacquaio was mistreated in there fight

        • I scored the fight 8-4 with alot of close rounds.
I thought the fight was easier to score than the Delahoya, And Maidana fight.

Pac just didn't do as good as both those fighters.

At the end of the 12 rounds in May Vs Madiana, I thought the decision could go either way, especially with Maidana winning 7-5.

At the end of the 12 rounds in May Vs Pacquiao, I was sure May was going to get the SD or maybe UD.

          • Floyd couldn't do sht against Pac.

The shorter armed, shorter height Pac-man nullified Floyd, Floyd's best punches were jabs.

Pac landed the more effective punches.

That was adequate defence from completely ineffective aggression. I wish Pac would have won too, but wishing doesn't make it so. It was Pac's job to make Mayflower stand and trade, but he didn't do enough. Cotto was more effective.

People who know boxing can give Manny AT MOST 5 rounds. I'm being generous.

The problem I see is that nobody is giving credit to the jab. The jab IS a connected punch. It's not about scoring power punches only. It's about scoring in ALL criteria. This is what Skip Bayless failed to realize when he threw his BS out there. Manny's jab is and has been horrible. He relies on power punches. Floyd's jab is precision and he throws it only when he knows he can connect.

Effective Aggression: Effective aggression means you were throwing with accuracy and conviction with the intent to connect and successfully did so at your whim.

Floyd was the aggressor in 4 out of 12 rounds. Manny was the aggressor in 4 out of 12 rounds. The other 4 rounds they were both guilty of staring at each other. It's a wash. Chasing the other fighter, feinting, etc. are not "aggression" factors especially when you're just getting countered.

Ring Generalship: This is where Manny got destroyed.

I had Floyd owning literally 10 of 12 rounds. He dictated the pace, he dictated the flow, and his jab was there all night long to keep Manny out of counter range and Floyd WAS connecting with shots almost at will. It was silly. Rounds 4 and 6 were the only two Manny did anything to stop this. Other than that he looked like a sparring partner in there. Round 12, Manny didn't even half try. At least Marquez went for broke against Bradley *and it almost cost him*.

Punch Output/Connect Rate: These are two separate things. Throwing 1,000 punches and connecting on 10% is not as good as throwing 300 punches and connecting on 30%, despite it being the same 100 punches. One is accurate punching; the other is not.

Set aside CompuBox for a moment. Just ignore it.

Floyd connected on more punches - INCLUDING JABS. Because he was using jabs, he connected on more punches because of volume and accuracy. He knew that the jab would get there, the straight right would get there too but his hands wouldn't allow him to throw too many power shots. I gave Floyd 9 out of 12 rounds on this one.

The bulk of Manny's connects came from two rounds - 4 and 6. The rest were where they were staring at each other and playing sneak shot, or when Floyd was on the ropes. The problem is, and even Roach admitted this, Manny didn't keep it up. Same thing that caused him to lose the first Bradley decision. He didn't sustain it. Look at how he fought in the Morales rematches; he kept up the flurries and the pressure. He didn't do that here, thus he lost this one.

Round 12 was a wash, neither did anything.

                Knockdowns: This was a wash.

Style: Floyd handily won this category - 10 rounds out of 12 - but the reason it's important to note this is, every boxer has "a style" that the judges look for. The Floyd we all know, the same Floyd that was on display against Canelo and Guerrero was on display here. Manny? He didn't show up.

Every single one of Floyd's most recent opponents fought significantly better than Manny did: Maidana, Mosley, Canelo, Marquez, De La Hoya, Ortiz, Berto, Guerrero even! They all TRIED. They all showed up and put their plan to action. They took risks, and Ortiz was the only one who largely failed after a risk. In fact I was impressed by Berto's overall risk taking performance, he was just outclassed. But he TRIED.

Manny, it was like he was afraid of getting put to sleep by a straight right again knowing it was Floyd's signature counter punch especially after Floyd wobbled him with that exact punch early in the fight. He looked tentative, he looked slow, he looked nervous in there. That's not Manny Pacquiao - and the judges punished him for it.

The only way you give Manny Pacquiao this fight is if you ignore Floyd's jab because that's all he used.

Which means you don't know **** about boxing.

                • I love Manny, and I'm sure he's been told by many that he won. That doesn't mean he deserved the decision, and a rematch is pointless. Retire Manny. Enjoy the rest of your life outside of boxing.

I watched the full fight, and I now have it downloaded.

There are plenty of Mayweather edits, which are just as unreliable.

you'd rather insult the poster in stead of presenting something which all fans can see and compare.
