... yet Adonis Stevenson keeps bringing in the money, while Sergey Kovalev has to go back to the hometown of the guy that he just KO'd to get his own decent payday, lol. Keep trumpeting the supremacy of HBOPPV if you want (as if SHOPPV doesn't exist, lol); the lion's share of the money for the fight was still likely to come from Canadian PPV and the live gate, which would've likely been in Montreal anyway. Whether Showtime puts the fight on PPV being unknown, Stevenson-Fonfara 2 on Showtime/Canadian PPV puts more money into Stevenson's pocket than Stevenson-Kovalev on HBOPPV/Canadian PPV, without much doubt [50/50 split on HBO's short money offer, compared to a likely 80/20 split for the Fonfara rematch].
Billy Joe Saunders, walking into any fight, would be doing so as a blank slate that HBO would be trying to create a portrait of.
Lara walks into any promotion for a Golovkin fight with footage of him holding his own, dominating in spots, against a list of opponents that include Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, Austin Trout, "El Perro" Angulo, Vanes, and Paul Williams, with a nice little slate of KO wins to fill in the footage. the fact that you keep trying to diminish the guy is hilarious.
