Someone stuck in the last decade, although Lewis & Calzaghe were there then too. British fighters stay winning titles in the US nowadays.

US boxing has gone to shit, and it doesn't look like it's getting any better. Mexican boxing too is in a slump but I can at least see them coming back due to the popularity of the sport there.

        Brook beat Porter in California.

Porter has never fought outside of the US.

Still talk of Brook vs Khan this year but I'm personally not confident that it will happen without Khan getting a belt first to make it an even money unification fight.

And I'm not sure Khan has the beating of the other titlist's.

            There is something wrong with:

            1. Deliberately ignoring, or not being a fan of a fighter because they don't fight for the same flag, despite there being no real good reason to not like that fighter. If a fighter is exciting, funny, or has a great style, we as boxing fans should embrace them, not look for weak excuses to chastise them.

            2. Not being objective about fighters that aren't from your own nation/background. If there are better fighters in the division, admit it, call it like it is. Give credit when it's due.

            3. Discrimination.

Just because I am proud of my nation doesn't mean I have to be a Wilder fan, or can't root for Fury, or recognize he is the better fighter by a long shot.
He never said that he just states he was proud of what our country has achieved in boxing considering the size of the population...so if you take that as discrimination or baiting then mr you have a problem...he never mentioned they were his favourite fighters or he preferred them over other world boxers...he is just stating facts and I see no issue with his thread...it's no different when there's an American thread talking about how dominant was the likes of Ali,Leonard, hearns hagler or Jones over other challenges from around the world.......if there's one country that has made baiting or discrinmation a world subject then you the USA wins hands down...Jesus you even call baseball the World Series and yet it's only American teams that participate not to mention we invented it and it's a sport for girls...we call it rounders....that's baiting lol

For the record, my two son's are called Rocky and Felix after two of my personal favourite boxers, I genuinely have no bias towards British fighters.

Of our current champions I can only honestly claim to be a "fan" of Brook, Smith and Selby, and of those, Brook is trying my patience with his chosen level of opponent and I accept that Smith's WBO little middleweight title is almost an internation/intercontinental title when you line it up alongside the other fighters in the division.

The winner of Frampton vs Quigg will probably deserve second spot among the british "world" champions (behind Fury) on merit, and Jamie McDoneell deserves credit for taking the two Kameda fights, and giving up home advantage (unlike so many british champions).

Right now, the real divisions that interest me are the light heavies (would like to see Kovalev, Stephenson, Beterbiev, Ward all get together, I honestly think that quartet if they could be persuaded to all meet each other a couple of times could end up being regarded alongside the Hagler-Hearns-Leonard-Duran or Ali-Frazier-Foreman-Norton quartets of the recent past).

Sadly, the money will come before the legacies, and I'll not hold my breath for a "Super-4" anytime soon.

Featherweight could be interesting if Santa Cruz, Selby, Lomachenko, Cuellar, Mares and Russell can be coaxed into unifications. Especially if the likes of Rigondeaux, Frampton, Quigg and Ceja step up and join the mix.
