  • Comments Thread For: Szpilka Says Wilder Not as Big of a Puncher as Expected

Although Arthur Szpilka (20-2, 15 KOs) lost by vicious knockout to WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (36-0, 35 KOs) on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the Polish couldn't expected Wilder to be a much bigger puncher based on his feared reputation.

I did see Wilder land some super hard punches and Artur didnt even wobble, and the last punch was a punch Artur didnt see coming it was the perfect punch landed right flush on the chin from an awkward angle.

Deontay power is kinda overrated, Charlie Z was able to take them and he only weighs 145 pounds.

But deontay still hits harder than Fury.

Glad to see that Szpilka is alive and OK. Great effort. Skilled boxer and has good head movement. He'll find some opportunities to make more money. If anything, it was a showcase for him.

As for Wilder, he needs to improve a lot, especially on his balance. He didn't look that great at all until the KO. I had Szpilka winning before the KO.

And, the Bomb Squad **** has to go.

Man, I was rooting for him but he should just shut up. He wasn't going to make the count and even if the ref gave him 2 minutes to recover he would've gotten killed. Wilder beat him fair. Szpilka was starting to lose steam the last few rounds. I'm not saying Wilder is the hardest hitting heavyweight but I'm pretty sure he can crack just as hard as a lot of the top guys.

Spilka clearly delusional and suffering concusion effects. If he was hit harder he might of had permanent damage. 15 minutes later when stretcher was brought and collar put then he was awake and could have left by himself but before that unconscious for at least 10 minutes.

hearing Szpilka say that, just proves how hard Wilder DOES hit, because Wilder has knocked his azz into speaking silliness.

Not their fault, szpilka needs to go back to the hospital if he really thinks that though lol. That was prob his most brutal ko
