Really everyone at the top level of the sport are just bums who got lucky if we are being honest.

Wilder is neither a bum nor great.

He's like a poor man's heavyweight Julian Jackson. It's fun watching him.

Abit harsh on Wlad with the shot comments. He's still got the rematch to redeem himself and if he just so happens to do the impossible in my eyes then he'll be the second coming.

I like Wilder though he's a big man as well and is starting to use distance and range to fire his shots instead of being a 'windmill'. Starting Boxing late and being able to get a bronze medal and a HW title shows you've definitely got something about you.

So Wilder beats Wlad now? lol

Wilder is not a bum, I think he's an average heavyweight.

He can't defend against the Molinas, Duhaupas and Szplikas of the world forever, then we'll see where he is in the hierarchy of HW boxing.

Heres Wilder struggling with southpaw angles ( front foot outside MORON!) lol notice how Szpilka cause Wilder to lose his balance by asserting dominant foot position -- Some of you gurus think it was Wilder choice to imitate David Haye ...Nah Szpilka been knowing the sweet science son. But credit to Deontay like he said he adjust to the circumstances and once he figured it out it was a matter of time.

Wilder isn't a bum but sometimes, just sometimes, he looks like freaking Charlie Zelenoff in there.

I don't think Tyson is remotely a bum. He is a world class heavyweight with many good wins before he beat Wlad. He was the rightful number 1 challenger when he fought Wlad. Fury had defeated much stronger opposition than Wilder had when Wilder fought for and won the WBC belt. Fury fought a smart fight and beat Wlad with no luck involved. Fury fought a 39 year old Wlad who is well past prime. I don't think he could beat a prime Wlad. I would favor Fury to beat Wilder if they fight in the future. Wilder is a fast handed very powerful puncher so he is a real threat to KO Fury. I think Fury is too smart for Wilder and has better all around boxing skills. Wilder has faster hands and hits much harder with his right. Wilder also has a very good jab so it's a close fight. The only thing that might be lucky for Fury is that he fought Wlad when he was 39. Maybe Fury would have also beat a much younger Wlad but we will never know. The Wlad vs Fury rematch should tell if Wlad had an off night or if that is the best he can do now.

Wilder certainly isn't a bum and is better than "average"

I think too much is being taken away from Wilder because of the Szpilka fight. He's not an easy guy to look good against

I wouldn't call him a Bum but I'm not impressed and I don't think he can beat Fury right now he doesn't have the skills or the pedigree to beat Fury, I think Fury box circles around him and picks him apart and then eventually stops him late once Wilder is tired from Swinging at air most of the fight.

He is at worst a top heavyweight IMO.

Ultimately, we will know more once he fights Povetkin because we know pretty precisely how good Povetkin is as he has been around the block and proved it.

By looking at his fights it is hard to pick him at the minute against Povetkin, Fury, or Wlad but that is not usually how it always works out. We know he could probably knock out all of them out too if he lands.
