I like him. His antics are silly, I dont think he really takes himself so seriously. Also he is a good sport in the ring. Sure comments like "Ive been waiting for Povetkin for a long time" are lies but these guys who are investments early and their careers carefully planned out are a bit separated from reality.

he sucks not worthyof a title, and they baby sit em. when you gonna let your lil boy grow up.

I look at it like having a son, you gotta let you son face it and handle it and that is what makes him a man or else you gonna have this hybird that is half man/half boy and that is what wilder is, a coddled lil boy who we love but we look at him as not a real man and when our real man son comes we like why don you be like him and everyone who love manschile gets mad lmfao.

      basically.

I'm not sure what's more concerning. The fact that only 3 people were truthful in their answers or the fact that people like this actually exist and are fans of the sport. "Racism is dead, it's 2016 doe".

        Lol.
Racism is alive and well...refer to Donald Trump's growing popularity in the United States as example A.

          Yeah, I'm fully aware...

          I was mocking them.

And I thought it had more to do with people being sick of phony politicians who rehearse every word they speak and practice presidential hand gestures in the mirror in their spare time.

1st- Just about every politician is shady!

2nd- Have you observed the racist attitudes of most of his supporters? I have first hand!

3rd- I'm not sure if Trump is racist, I have a su****ion he's simply an opportunist. Trump is however guilty of playing into the fears of the ignorant in this county.....kind of like a politician.

I don't think there's much hate out there for Wilder beyond the usual resentment for hype. But if he ducks Povetkin that will change.

He's a positive influence in his community, always doing charity work. He says the right things inside the ring and does the right things outside the ring. Doesn't get fat and lazy when he's not fighting. He stays active, one of the most active heavyweight champions in decades. We all know his skills leave a lot to be desired but he keeps on winning. Malik Scott was supposed to expose him, it didn't happen. Then Stiverne was really supposed to expose his limited boxing skills and his stamina. Wilder went 12 rounds and easily came away with the victory while sending Stiverne to the hospital for dehydration because his stamina wasn't up to par.Szpilka being a southpaw with decent skills did give Wilder some issues but that jab was landing with frequency. That cut on Szpilka's eye didn't just appear outta nowhere. He also landed 42% of his power shots and 30% overall to Szpilka's 27%.

He took two entertaining voluntary fights while Povetkin kept delaying the mandatory. He attempted to get a fight with Glazkov but he and his team decided to go the easier route and strip Fury in order to fight Martin for the IBF title. Szpilka was the next best available fighter and as it turns out Szpilka was better than Glazkov. People who complain about Wilder fighting Molina and Duhaupas conveniently forget the soft touches Fraizer, Ali and all other champs took after winning their titles.

You've got Tyson Fury spouting his Jesus freak hate. Running around the arena drunk and trying to fight Carl Froch and anybody else in the arena. But once again Wilder takes the high road when asked about Fury.

I wasn't a Wilder fan to begin with but when I saw him constantly working to get better and his love for the sport he made me a fan. Where does this hate for Wilder come from? I can understand not being a fan of his boxing skills but I don't understand the irrational hate he receives.
                  Now the same for GGG.

I like Wilder. As people say he is entertaining and his fights are unpredictable. My only problem is the media and fanbase talking him up - the guy is a ticking timebomb. He just lacks so many boxing fundamentals and relies entirely on his size and power, that will be a fatal mistake against someone like Fury. That being said I'll enjoy his run while it lasts.
Amir Con has more flaws then deontay wilder but hes many shades lighter so we give him a pass...the same scenario both very technically flawed and one of them for sure has a jaw made of china...but only one of them is truly loved even tho he refuses to fight...

                      Why?

Because he's a manufactured champion, he's one dimensional as hell and is corny as hell outside of the ring.
                      I have to agree 100%

He looks terrible stylistically and comes across manufactured and ridiculous.

You could say the same about Fury as well, but Fury has real skill.
