It's a very bad look for the sport. And Haymon will manage to navigate Martin through some appalling defences, I'm sure.

I mean, Charles Martin, a HW champion. Jesus.

Can't argue with that. Wilder was nearly took if Szpilka had anything.

This was a horrible move by the IBF to strip Fury, was horrible rankings the IBF has to consider these two the two best guys without a belt, wasn't looking to be a fun fight & it was a horrible outcome (shoulda been a NC or something cuz I didn't really see a punch or much of a punch land).

Respect to the fighters doe cuz idk what they are supposed to do here except what they did. What are they gonna do turn down a bs title fight, maybe for the most money & prestige they've had in the sport thus far? F#ck no & rightfully so.

people just want to whine about something.

when a sanctioning body follows its rules, people whine

when a sanctioning body breaks its rules, people whine

          another day....... another whiner.......

Blame Main Events don't blame the IBF for following their rules. What do ya'll want? An organization that follows it's rules or organizations that make them up as they go along?

Remember, Main Events had fury stripped. Twenty-four hours after the IBF told Fury and Glazkov they have to start negotiatings, Main Events put in an immediate purse bid. Once the purse bid was called Fury couldn't negotiate a deal. Kathy Duva and Main Events is the reason Martin is now the IBF champion

I can't help but laugh at Kathy Duva.

                Her ****** plan backfired.

don't blame main events, blame fury. he knew the IBF mandatory was due, but agreed to a voluntary defense against klitschko. nobody forced him to do that.

But if Main Events wouldn't have called for a purse bid immediately after the IBF announced negotiations begin they could've worked something out. But according to the IBF rules, once someone request a purse bid negotiations stop and no deal can be worked out. And it's not like Glazkov didn't have a fight coming up. He was already lined up for a title fight against Wilder. So he not only had a fight, but he had a title fight. That was some bull**** by Main Events
