prospects bein moved too slow ?

canadian supermiddle lucian butes people say hes not even ready for marcus beyer yet (which i find puzzlin, seein as beyer is 1 of the worst world champions of the last 10 yrs) let alone kessler,

americas allan green just fought a guy with 12 losses,

carl 'i look like maggot' froch hasnt fought any body yet & hes almost 30,

i think alot of prospects bowl over opponent after opponent & dont learn anything from it, i think u need 2 step up & up & even if its a really close fight u learn

i see kevin mitchell is fighin yet another stiff, & he was supposed 2 be the best thing 2 come out of london since nigel benn 4 ****sakes

Doesn't seem long ago he was all the rage, just got pushed to one side when Amir Khan came along at the Olympics.

Oh and Bute and Froch would easily beat Beyer, at their best. And they'd both beat Kessler, too. Jurgen Brahmer would beat every SMW other than Joe C.

Froch just needs to stop using weights, because their slowing him down like ****.

They can't all be Jeff Fenech, Fernando Vargas and Ray Mancini...

The problem is finding out when you're pushing a prospect too fast, and when you're not getting him the fights heneeds to succeed. Alot of former Olympians are being moved at an expedited pace, and burning out fast as a result. Some prospects are over protected and grow stale on weak competition. Its really hard to find a fighters correct pace of development.

Antonio Tarver took the slow road. A pedigree amatuer who could have moved alot faster. Some people are in it soley for the money. Others have goals of being champion, not for only one fight but for a long long time.

Fighting in the pros is a learning experience the whole way through. If you want to rush in for the money then you will be exposed for any flaws very quickly. If you want to take the slow road then you will harness those flaws and turn them into positive attributes and you will make the same money. And then keep making more and more money. I think that David Reid was rushed. He won the title and made some money but he was exposed very quickly when fighting the elite of the division.

Bute has only had 15 fights and they all haven't even been close! I admit Beyer isn't that good, but he is a champ! He must be doing something right!
