Comments Thread For: weights From Brooklyn: Wilder 228.75, Szpilka 233.25

The pre-fight tension continues to exist between Deontay Wilder and Artur Szpilka, though calmer heads helped prevent additional outbursts during Friday's weigh-in ceremony at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, which also hosts Saturday's live Showtime-televised action.

Wilder tipped the scales at 228.75 lbs. for the third defense of his heavyweight title, while Szpilka checked in at 233.25 lbs. for his first career title fight.

I bet Glatzkopf will dance circles around Martin and outbox him. martin came in at a career heaviest weight, thats disapointing. He always looked a few pounds overweight.

I expect Wilder to KO szpilka by the 6th. Tough to pick him when he's been dropped my Mollo 3 times & Saulberry. I just can't see his chin holding up. If he catches Wilder anything can happen in HW boxing. Glazkov is a huge step up for Martin. I'm not sure if the size & southpaw stance will make a difference. Glazkov at 218 kind of seems small to me. I always remember him being bigger. It is a career low but I don't recall is average weights at the moment. I think Glazkov could out box him...
