He's name dropping cause he knows the Haymon v HBO situation makes it really hard to make.

Both teams were openly discussing that fight..... yes the discussions were preliminary, and on twitter..... but they happened nonetheless.
So, yea..... you're wrong.
The " discussion " from the Lara camp primarily centered around assurances that they would meet all of the demands made by Team Golovkin, and the "discussion" from the Golovkin camp primarily centered around excuses as to why that fight cannot happen..... culminating in words to this effect.
" we will not come down in weight "
~ Loeffler
" we will fight you at 160 "
~ DeCubas
" on HBO " ?
~ Loeffler
" ..... at 160..... on HBO..... in Kazakhstan "
~DeCubas
And that was pretty much the end of the discussion.
But if Lara was serious about the fight move up to 160 and beat Jacobs or BJS and prove he belongs.

Rubbish, a discussion that leads to a negotiation can start anywhere.
A negotiation can start from a fighter calling someone out after his fight.
The serious discussion for the May/Pac fight started at a Miami heat game.
The Haye/De Mori fight WAS MADE ON TWITTER !!
That is a terribly weak excuse to avoid that fight, just like the other terribly weak excuses that K2 have made.

Lara is a top level fighter, is calling for the fight and would be by far the best pro that Golovkin has shared a ring with. When you're fighting the likes of Monroe, the 'not a draw' excuse doesn't fly.
Exactly !
The excuses that the fanboys are making are absurd.
Dey be shook !!
Golovkin fans do not want to see their guy get tested

And a joke of a fight made over Twitter, I can believe it. But at the GGG vs Lara level the fight isn't going to be made over Twitter, get serious.

But in reality we all know the fight is unlikely to happen this year unless GGG fights again in December and Lara and his team have done the above.

I said.... the " serious " discussion.
So..... YUP !!
Arum clearly did not want to make that fight, not then anyways.
A month later, the fight was signed.
