Wladimir was well on his way to breaking Joe Louis's record of title defenses. Fury's win over him is the most significant thing to happen in the heavyweight division in years. Let's see if Fury can repeat what he did. Going off of the history of rematches, it's likely he does.

Fury won 50% of the fight without even stepping in the ring.

        Very intriguing rematch.

Will be interested in the odds on the fight. I just can't see Wlad doing anything differently - when has Wlad last threw 5 punches in combination?

I reckon the fight will be largely the same and Wlad will have to back himself to land a bomb.

To me this is interesting for Wlad to admit, I mean, we all knew it, but for him to actually face up that he lost because he couldn't react appropriately to what Fury brought to the ring is a pretty big deal.

So, will he actually adapt for the rematch is what I find interesting. Now he has announced that he is aware that he lost that fight just as much as Fury won it, what does it do for the rematch...

Took him quite a long time to realize this. Hope he'll be ok mentally for the rematch. And he needs to start listening to his brother instead of being in his own head all the time.

Wlad fans never said that, Fury did, not before going back on his words and claiming Wlad is the best ever, I can't recall if that was after the fight though, likely was so he can big his fragile state of mind up that little more. Bless his cotton socks, he's such a cutie when he wants to be.

Fury didn't just beat Wlad he sonned him!

Wlad tried cheating throughout the event and had the ref save his ass when he was most hurt and even take a point!

Fury by late KO in the rematch. Then Fury to repeat what Ali said after he beat Liston for a second time.

Klitschko's lack of an inside game and body punching became apparent against Fury and proved to be a huge liability. With all of Wlad's other fights, his superior size, reach and boxing (and clinching) ability allowed him to carry fights without having to mix it up on the inside and punch his opponents bodies.

In the Fury fight, Tyson proved to be an elusive target (go figure, he's a colossal man and should be easy to hit ). Klitschko would have fared better had he been jabbing and throwing straight right hands to the body instead of 'headhunting' 100% of the time. Also, when both the fighters were or tied out, Klitschko should have been ****ing the body.

Fury is important to boxing as Wilder is laughed at.

Fury being white and a champion means a lot to boxing as Wilder is not being accepted in America as anything but a stooge and a buffoon. A White Heavyweight Champion speaks volumes for Boxing and is important to boxing's success. White means might and white means Right. Deal with it as that is life.
Until Wilder actually fights and beats a legit heavy then Wilder will always be second class with question marks and mocked.
