Wlad got a taste of his own medicine - stay so far at range and not engage. He even got frustrated when Fury held a bit towards the end, and resorted to a headbutt(Fury's wtf reaction was some unintended comedy). Wlad's been holding for so long that he's all but forgotten how to fight at close range. It's hard to imagine things will change over night. If he does try to press the issue early, there's a real chance of gassing out, so I think he's simply screwed here.

Well, I guess this is about as close as he'll get to crediting Fury for the win. Ah well. I was right all along – he really did expect another Pulev or Wach, standing straight in front of him, but instead got some of that crazy-ass herky-jerky head movement, the likes of which he had never seen before.

I like both guys, and this rematch will be all the more intriguing. It's unlikely that Fury will have anything new to show Wladimir, but if the latter can unload like he did in the 12th round (especially with that lead hook which he feinted in a brilliant, uppercut-like way), the result could end up very different.

wlad's never been a good boxer. he won by clinching and leaning on opponents until they were tired enough that he could throw punches without fear. clinching makes anyone look dominant. look at alexander vs maidana or the difference in the maidana-floyd fights

The fact that Wlad is saying "if he came at me it would be a different story" would worry me if i'm a Wlad fan.

He's STILL surprised at the tactics fury used, and he's not exactly coming out with a plan here, just saying he needed to open up.

If he didn't open up after the first few rounds, he won't in the next fight. Add to that Fury is a counter puncher who's now had 12 rounds getting used to Wlads angles and it doesnt look good for a rematch.

I agree, but I think he DID figure he needed to be active during the fight in the middle rounds but was too primitive and mentally weak to adapt to Wlad. Even Steward (RIP), who trained him, said he gets rattled too easily.

Klitschko was clearly in great shape, Fury is just too awkward, long and skilled.

Wlad still beats any HW not named Tyson Fury.

That's a pretty scientific, long winded and complicated way of saying "I got outboxed." Respect for not claiming injury. I was quite confident we would be hearing about an injury by now.

Klitschko can't hang. In order for him to beat Fury, he would have to become something he's not. Klitschko doesn't take punches well and opening up against Fury will get him rocked bad. Bad news for Klitschko. Just going to be more of the same, hopefully more entertaining than the first time around.
