Here these UFC bums go again.

The dude is retired. He is an afterthought in the current landscape of boxing.

Why are they always bringing up boxing? **** off.

      Correct.
Two different sports with different rules.

the fight won't last long. Either Mayweather clips the guy coming in and ko's him, or he gets taken down and gets submitted. Mayweather has the precision and timing to spark anyone with those small mma gloves.

And no, Couture would never beat Lesnar. He moved down from heavyweight in the first place because he couldn't deal with bigger, physically imposing grapplers like Josh Barnett and Ricco Rodriguez.

          whatever you say

good to see that you didn't address any fo the rest of the post that talk about why couture would be physically depleted at 47 years old to the degree that you can't simply dicount toney's performance based on the contrast in age / deterioration.

they were both way, way past their best. and i completely disagree on lesnar. couture wasn't massive, but lesnar could hardly take a punch, and i have no reservations about picking him to stop lesnar when he wasn't in his mid 40's.

And Mayweather will break any top ufc fighters jaw right off so...... you mma fags arent saying much.

people who know both sports pick the mixed martial artists to win easily when pro boxers of the same tier fight MMA fighters in MMA rules.

            ever thought about why?

people who only know boxing think the same way james toney did against couture, and you can watch that fight if you would like to know how it turned out.

a lot of the rhetoric over the "neutral ground" is a fight in the streets, and i'm sorry if you're ignorant, but MMA rules much more closely resemble that. and most of your favorite boxers would be turned into a stain on the pavement if they fought in the streets with a skilled grappler. they've got a puncher's chance. otherwise, the styles and rules favor MMA in a street fight.

                boxers win boxing matches
mma guys win fights with mma rules

mma guys win fights in the streets. boxing skills mean nothing when you're on your back, and boxers don't train to keep from getting put there.

i''m talking about the conversation between boxing fans and MMA fans, and even their fighters, about who could win in a "real fight."

IE no gloves, no rule that you can't hit behind the head, hold, go to the ground, whatever. boxers lose those fights to mixed martial artists. they have no idea what to do once your head drops below their waists. they end up on the ground, asking for permission to breath

Im sick of these UFC employees talking crap about boxing to spread their names. The truth is any boxer can learn how to check a kick, avoid takedown and how to stand up. It wouldn't take long right? But for them to box like boxers would take a lifetime just as their Ronda proved.
It's like douchebag chilren who training in a gym and telling people that they can beat everyone's ass.
