Why is anyone bringing up Floyd?

I don't see why anyone has an issue with this. This is what big names do. If you are a great fighter, you find a way to win in these circumstances.

It gets tiring seeing GGG fans whine and complain like he should be treated differently than others have in the past. He isn't special, he isn't a proven seller, and hasn't defeated a single opponent that was less than an 8-1 underdog.

GGG allegedly is serious about unification. If he is, then take the 10% and make the fight. If he doesn't then IMO it shows that he is just another guy who thinks he is entitled to things.

You keep acting like it's equal if they both move on. LMAO GGG makes about 1mil every time he fights he made a career high 2mil in a PPV that flopped. He will never get that much again because HBO will not give him another PPV after how bad it performed and there is no other PPV fight with a bigger name for him other then Canelo. Canelo makes probably 10mil guaranteed or more to fight ANYONE else on PPV from here on out. How does vacating hurt Canelo's reputation he just fought Trout, Floyd, Lara, Cotto all the fights the fans wanted and has a resume which is far better the the nobodies on GGG's resume. If he chooses not to jump up to 160 right now and fight GGG his fans are not going to kill him because he at age 25 has already fought and beat better fighters then GGG.

If GGG turns down the fight he gets a paper belt that does nothing for his career and goes back to fighting for small paychecks and him and his fans go back to debating with fans why his resume is full of nothing but C and D class fighters. He also has to explain why he refused to go to 155 to fight Canelo when he is on record saying he would go to 154 to fight Floyd and saying that he could make 154 easily. Or why he wouldn't go up to 168 to fight Ward after he said he'd fight anyone at 168 because it's hard to cry about Canelo enforcing a catchweight when after Ward called your bluff you screamed I'm the A side and if you want to fight me Ward you need to come down to 164. How will that play when you cry about the same thing being done to you that when you just used that same stance against Ward.

GGG fans make me laugh acting like if the fight doesn't happen it doesn't hurt GGG more. Of course it does and Golden Boy knows it which is why they hold all the leverage. Canelo will get this fight on his terms or GGG won't get the fight at all.

Golovkin made a career high of 2 million and canelo made a career high of 5 million. He isn't making Paquio and mayweather money, for him to make 10 million he needs a dance partner, he isn't getting that by fighting just anyone. eventually he'll carry ppvs on his own.

if you think that Canelo is getting scott free by ducking GGG by dropping the belt and blieve me his fans will know he is ducking (just check his twitter/Instagram at how much flack he got for saying 155). Considering Golovkin was pretty much fighting for free 3 years ago his purse grew fast and he will be making 2+ million per fight going forward though personally i dont care i just want to see him fight.

If I was GGG's negotiator I would say FINE with those numbers just to get the big name in the ring, and KO Canelo if front of the world. It would be worldwide advertising that would pay off for Golovkin bigtime.

Sounds bad, but if it's a $30-$40 million purse, that's still $3-$4mill for GGG. Personally I wish K2 would've just stripped Alvarez, collected the belt and move on without Alvarez and wait for him to come to them. Eventually he's going to need to move up to 160, additionally Golovkin is his biggest fight. K2/Golovkin should not beg for this fight, move on if Canelo is too scared.

Bad news, no way in hell is this fight gonna do that kind of money. Do you honestly believe the pro Mexican WBC will strip Canelo for not fighting g string? Won't happen. You may not like it, but g string is gonna have to make the concessions in this fight.

I'm not even sure there will be any split. GBP might just decide to give Golovkin a flat fee and pocket whatever other income themselves. Maybe a 10 mil payday for Golovkin while canelo takes home the rest of the pot. They wouldn't be wrong for proposing that. Canelo is very clearly the much bigger star.

Do you think this fight does enough revenue to pay g string 10 mil and give Canelo the type of pay day he's looking for? Not likely.

Has there ever been a fighter being that avoided and being one of the top fan favourite fighter in the sport? Selling out huge arenas and having a following all around the world and the whole division is shook and running scared, making excuse after excuse.
