Canelo is now the biggest star in combat sports look at his viewership in his home country and you should be able to compare it favourably to the viewership of mcgregor/ ronda world wide

Canelo is the biggest star in the world under the age of 20 in combat sports

Mexicans are the biggest combat sport fans and he is the poster boy for them

Look at ppv events he has been in and what is he...25 years old and participated in one of the biggest moneymaking fights in history...ever in combat sports versus Mayweather and the money from the Cotto fight was nothing to sneeze at

Absolutely NOT! Not even close and that is going to be a problem for boxing going into the future. Rousey got his ass kicked but she is still a Crossover Star and Rousey vs Holm II is going to do even bigger numbers than the first one

Canelo is not a crossover star yet, Canelo really haven't captured that Casual American Audience yet. It is going to take Charisma to Crossover in America not just Knockouts.

Maybe Canelo. In a year or two, Anthony Joshua will join him.

HW division will be on fire in the next couple of years.

McGregor exceeded the expectations his sh-t talking created by beating the 2 best FW in UFC, including Aldo in 13 secs when he hadn't lost in 10 years.

Both benefit from the fact ESPN and FoxSports heavily cover MMA.
^This, espn had thousands of re tweets and likes on twitter. In general they had so much retweets and likes from these two, there youtube videos that feature them have over millions of views and there talked in all sports channels. I never seen anything close to that with Canelo, maybe in Mexico but that's it.

Canelo has one pay per view over 2 million buys and another over 900000 neither ronda nor Connor will match or surpass.

I believe Connors ppv with Aldo did 1.1-1.5 mill, Canleo never did any ppv over a mill without Floyd.

Calm down ye ****s. This is what we call a transitional period. We just are just now finishing the Mayweather-Pacquiao era. The biggest names are retired or about to retire (including Cotto, JMM, etc etc). New stars emerge and eventually fill those voids.
