Agreed! Canelo needs to vacate unless he plans to defend the strap at 160 lbs, GGG or no it's due time to quit playing around at fake weight classes.

laughing at the bitter cotto fans. Acting like Cotto won a moral victory because he didn't get knock out. You guys talked so much crap before the fight about how easy Cotto would win, how he would school and knock out Canelo and still you guys can't just accept that he lost. Even Cotto and Roach have waved the white flag and basically admitted defeat otherwise why do neither want to talk rematch? If you want a real good laugh listen to these delusional Cotto fans talk about how he actually won the fight and then re-watch the fight and watch Cotto's baby mom. HBO made a point to show the Cotto family and Canelo family in between each round. The Canelo family were jumping up and down happy all night knowing he was winning. While Cotto's baby mom looked disgusted and disappointed in Cotto. Almost saying with her eyes I got my ti tties out for this? You embarrassing us Miguel. Even Cotto's family knows he lost that fight LMAO

Canelo is too fast for Cotto and too strong

Cotto is a battered small slow fighter who has taken some serious beatings over a long career and now is at the end of that career a rich man who talks slow and should get out before further brain damage is done. How much money does a guy actually need before he becomes incapacitated and incoherent and brain dead? Give it up Cotto just oo bad your family and trainer are so greedy.

An unnecessary fight to say the least

There is no fan demand for a rematch outside a few delusional cotto fans. The majority of fans saw it as a clear victory or a wide victory for Canelo. The only reason Cotto didn't get knocked out was because he was on his bike all night long. There was 1 round in the middle of the fight where Cotto sensed he was losing and tried to stand his ground. He got pummeled and went right back on the bike until the 12th round where he again took a beating. He had no intentions of standing and fighting Canelo and fought a totally different fight from his previous fights because he was worried about Canelo's power. It's clear he intended on moving a lot and not engaging and hoping to frustrate and tire Canelo out. But Canelo was calm all night and his defense and counter punching nullified all that. Which is why Cotto had one of if not the WORST offensive output and connect rates of his entire career. About 80% of what Cotto threw didn't land he actually MISSED 500 punches!

Roach never switched up the gameplan because he didn't want Cotto to get knocked out. So what can he do differently in a rematch? He can't outbox Canelo and he damn sure doesn't want to get in a war with him. If he stands and trades with Canelo is his only chance but neither Cotto or Roach wants that because he opens himself up to get hit and ends up like Kirkland and Angulo getting KOd.

That's a good analysis...and Cotto's been my favorite fighter since he fought Judah.

When has Roach switched a gameplan for any fighter?

no point in watching this fight again, canelo won and the ones saying he lost just hate him, in mexico the ones saying he lost are probably from the rival networks or people who really dont like him like berinstain and marquez too ,,,chavez sr doest think much of him either.

Cotto himself said he didn't want it again. He knows a rematch goes the same way or worse for him. He is too old and doesn't have the power to beat Canelo.
Could Canelo KO him? Its possible. I think he would have less respect for Cotto's power and really get after him. Cotto would be on that bicycle earlier than in the first fight.
