Good fight for Mares at this point, Gonzalez has declined but the win would be good for Mares confidence and give him some good momentum going into a fight with Russell Jr or a LSC rematch.

        It's about time Mares.
Mares should have avenged this fight a while ago.

Of course he wants to fight Gonzalez after Gonzalez looked like crap in his last 2 fights.

I think it's too late for this, time to move on because if you get KO'ed by Gonzalez your career is over.

Good fight for both. Both guys kind of need a win to get them back on track. Especially for Gonzalez who is on the down sided of his career.

As for Abner he needs a win to get him back into title contention. Luckily for him he has Al Haymon who has the majority of the champions in the division. But I'm not sure he really is a true featherweight.

He hasn't looked great since he moved up in weight and hasn't been the same since he got Knocked out by Gonzalez.

Mares has yet to regain his mojo. This fight should get him back on track.

Mares should retire if he can't beat Johnny. I thought he was going to 130 tho

I can't wait for this one. Two offensive minded Boxer Punchers who are in deesperate need of a win. This should be a good one.
