LOL to think Hamed was a big favorite of Barrera.

I just hope GGG doesn't retire right away also after one loss...

      Naseem Hamed (Before Barrera)

      35-0
      88% by KO
4 fights past the 8th round

      GGG (Before Canelo)

      35-0 (Should be)
      91% by KO
2 fights past the 8th round

Barrera last loss before fight was against a great Morales

Canelo last lost against a great Mayweather

Or is that still Pepe ?
Personally, I consider Geale or Murray GGG's best win. I don't necessarily blame GGG for his weak resume, especially when it comes to the middleweight division. The division is already weak. And combine that with some of the better guys in the division not wanting to fight him. And that generally equates to a lackluster resume.

My issue with GGG is his willingness to stay in a weak division. And trying to glorify bums. IMO he should have moved up awile ago. The current situation at super middleweight isn't exactly stacked with great fighters. But at least if he moved up, it would be exciting to see him try and conquer a new division. As opposed to beating up on guys that we know are no hopers.

Don't forget Joe Calzalghe, the most accomplished super middle weight sine the weight class was introduced!
QUOTE=Eastcoast;16379872]Like who? There's only been a handful of fighters who have actively campaigned to unify the titles within their division in the past 20 years. Roy Jones, Bernard Hopkins, Kostya Tsyzu, Cory Spinks, and Wladamir Klitschko were about the only ones who had success doing it.[/QUOTE]

GGG should go over there and fight him. I mean, it's not going to go to the cards in any case so there is no concern over a robbery. That's precisely why he doesn't mind traveling because the scoring is always in his favor, via KO.

I hope he doesn't also. Both of them are/could/of/should be great!

But honestly Hamed was Tebow before Tebow??? And GGG could end up being tebowed if he doesn't watch himself!

He goes into that ring against Canelo thinking it's Lemuix??? Could be the same thing as Hamed did thinking Barrera was Augie...

I don't think size has anything to do with it.

The fighters that Golovkin has avoided..... e.g., he COULD have fought them, but CHOSE not to..... are all movers/spoilers, except Canelo, who is well-skilled.

They are avoiding slick movers/spoilers, and will only fight Canelo if they have a distinct advantage.
