I don't know if one can say that an ad hominem attack is pointing out hypocracy. I don't think your thinking is wrong, but it can be dangerous. I don't know how old you are, with respect to what generation you are, but when you look at the message independent of the medium I think this has become the thinking for generation X... so I assume you are post baby boomer.

A very wise man from Canada (Marshall MCluen) once said "the medium is the message." Today we are bombarded by messages. You see kids and they don't even know if they are straight, or gay because of the media and the message. But while the media can subliminally and through its b1tches give any message it wants political corretness censors people. So, its not offensive that a woman beater can tell about brutality to someone and when the mayor of Baltimore uses a Hindu word to describe criminals (thug), she was castigated by the media because she done insulted all them thugs! or as they put it, she used a word insensatively referring in this case to certain black youth...The problem was not the behavoir of the youth, it was the word because when you censor people, words belong to the social order and not to human beings expressing themselves.

And thats the problem with a society where annyone, because of their earning power, and not their actions can be allowed to tell people what should concern them, while society can tell us how to express ourselves properly. People in the old days earned the authority to speak on these issues...people like Ali who went to jail...or Chomsky who brought down one of the most insidious thinkers in history (Skinner's behavoirism), or **** Gregory who has given his long life to acts of conscience. Thats authority earned by one's actions and not sucking society's d1ck.

You see? when you don't discriminate between the words of great men and puppets, and when words that offend can be censored, then the media controls you. Floyd will say anything for a dime and the media knows that.

Then people lose their way and when we lose our way? how do we know? Have we lost our way? How about a society that lauds a man for becoming a woman...then tells people if they think that is fvked up there is something wrong with them? I do see a big problem with it because when people who are good, wholesome, productive and wise are spreading the word, then they become role models for correct action and the only agenda is truth. Otherwise society uses people to control our behavoir and the message is, not clear, its distorted.
