canelo won't give saunders a 50 percent purse split. don't be silly. he's trying to collect a big paycheck before ggg destroys him. that means an opponent that will take short money. that's not saunders as we have seen in the ggg negotiations.

Exposure fighting Canelo is just bigger. Would Canelo fight him at 160 ? How much could Saunders drain down to? Would he prefer fight Canelo at 156/7 for more money or Golovkin at 160 for slightly less money.

warren is famous for being a crook. he's the arum of british boxing (although he seems better these days, that's mainly just in contrast to hearn). it's entirely possible that he fabricated the supposed canelo offer in order to scare K2 into scraping up more money. then again, i don't see why canelo wouldn't want to fight a very beatable titlist like saunders. would canelo offer saunders as large a chunk as golovkin would, though? kirkland "only" got $1.3m to face him last year

FYI Frank Warren is the biggest snake in British boxing and has a reputation for not paying fighters who take on his boxers amongst other things. He would most certainly lie about this and he has done similar many times before.
