What oversized ***** did the ref have up his ass in the second half of the fight? He was all over Ward for shots that didn't look low at all.
Ward looked very solid. I was hoping to see more of the right hand. He can't be so one-handed against Kovalev. Otherwise he was as slick, sharp, and very good. I don't care how much people don't like watching him, I love watching Ward fight. He does so many little things to control the fight.

I've only watched Ward's career starting from Froch (minus the Smith fight), and I found those performances to be enjoyable on some level. I don't complain about the headbutts or the clinching because I don't remember much of that in those fights. That's probably why I'm neutral on him.
I thought he looked a bit rusty tonight, but his skill/physical talent was relatively intact. He could've been more offensively accurate, but his defensive reactions were good. He probably should take another fight before Kov just to make sure that everything is working as it should be. The problem is that he might have a hard time finding a good opponent.
The boy is nice, took an undefeated Cuban gold medalist to school and been putting his foes on the floor! - top 5 LHW's have a real problem...IBF,WBA,WBO belts are going look good around Dre.
