    Talk about forgetting.

Ukraine's Viktor Postol (28-0, 12KOs) made a big statement on Saturday night, when he knocked out heavily favored Lucas Matthysse in ten rounds to capture the vacant WBC junior welterweight championship at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. After the fight, Postol called for a unification with WBO champion Terence Crawford (26-0, 18KOs). Both Postol and Crawford are handled by Top Rank. Crawford returns on October 24th when he defends his belt against Dierry Jean of Canada.

Anyhow...it seems Postol is being avoided. I think people saying they want to sell Crawford off to Pac have it the other way. They'll try to do to Pac what they did with Bradley. Use him to create a star in TC. I'm not opposed to it but I feel like the iron is hot for TC. He should be fighting Postol asap trying to lead that into a more marketable fight. Postol has the better W on his resume and TC's team would have been smart to try and piggy back off Postol's big KO over Lucas. It's still in the minds of the people and a win over Postol says a lot more than all these....kind of sh itty fights TC is giving us.

I like how Postol's team has been calling these bluffs. The scene is healthy out east and with the wbc belt he's going to make money regardless. Good for them.

These are two elite world class fighters and classy individuals. I am sure that they both want the fight but Top Rank and HBO are doing there usual marinating bull**** that will probably backfire for the 100th time.

I don't think either of these guys are trying to avoid the other, I'm pretty positive they both think they could beat the other guy without issue.

I'd favor Crawford, he's made me into a fan. I think he's probably going to be a PPV guy in a couple years.. seems like a very crafty, cerebral fighter who believes in himself but doesn't come across as overconfident- and has the killer instinct.

Postol is a great fighter but I'm not 100% sold on him just based off his Matthysse stoppage. That is a huge, very noticeable win for him no doubt. But I think Lucas was really broken down some by Ruslan in his prior fight.

It looks like Hank Lundy is about to become a common opponent for us to analyze, so maybe I should just wait and see what Crawford does with that fight.
