    guess its all personal preference

I think anyone who has shown they are elite, regardless of location, language or creed should get some shine.

Boxing is a world sport, its not like the NBA where everyone comes to America and plays ball

Boxers have real world champions and guys who are of a high caliber deserve shine....swagger, charisma does play a part, so does personal bias of fans and media
u keep repeating this but have yet to bring up anyone in this case. If people demand it, it will come. Nobody is demanding for a rigo fight so dont expect to see all sorts of promoting hyping him up. U and 10 other people might be fond of rigo but half the world isnt and u and the other 10 is not going to bring in enough money for TR to do anything special with rigo.

Correct me if I'm wrong, which i very well might be, but isn't Sulaiman the guy who bent over backward to give his godson a title. Not the guy to ask about bias in boxing, which is probably why he avoided the question.

lets be real, I got white homeboys that were rooting for him because they though he was from spain, when I told them he was Mexican, they were like...but he looks white.....race plays a part, the only people that act like it doesn't is the people who benefit from it....it started that way and it will remain that way
That was the first thing that came to mind! When you really think about it, 60% of boxers not from the US don't speak English but they get promoted! It's the networks, managers, and promoters job to promote, but regarding to Rigo he was a slight under dog and expected to lose which backfired on the network and promoter who blackballed him. You don't see the biasness because you don't want to

If it's anything under $30 mill, it's pathetic. The man made $150 mill in one fight.
Send the link to where you read that ok clown fck

          I'll wait on that ok

And then you say you're not sure if it's true

Andre Ward....even when the super 6 was going on and he was beating guys he wasn't supposed to because of his experience level...he wasn't hyped as the next ATG.....top 3 p4p yadda yadda....movies, endorsements.....Just another good young fighter

Bro Rigo is " boring" the same reason why Mayweather was, Roy Jones was, and Whitaker was before him
            '

He beats people on skill and usually dominates in a way where fights aren't even close

When Rigo beat Donaire, his own promoter was tripping...he should have left Arum

What fighter do you know who beats a top 5 p4p guy and cant get any shine or people to fight him???? A fighter like Rigo who will dominate like Floyd but you are not gonna be making them Money sweepstakes checks....If GGG is being ducked, Rigo has been since he beat Doniare to be fair

oh I saw the bias....the dude beat one of the best fighters of his era and cant get a big fight since

that's bull ****....they talking bout GGG being ducked....either Rigo team sucks or nobody wants to fight him unless they are on the come up

Those guys like Santa Cruz when he was there was happy fighting mis-mandatories instead of facing the best in the divison

Once again it's the promoters and networks job to promote and get your name out there! A boxers job is to fight and train! Before the Donaire fought Rigo had a name, which is the reason the fight happened! After it backfired the promoter and network bashed him and had him fighting on untelevised cards! How do you go from winning one of the most anticipated fights in dominating fashion to fighting on untelevised cards? And really the whole time he was dominating Donaire jim lampley was talking down! Just pay attention! When a black fighter fights as Rigo does they will talk down and criticize, but if it's another race they will point to the excellent for work and head movement. The superior skills! If you think I'm lying click the link below. Proof is in the pudding!

Floydie (or anyone) saying any one race has an advantage in the sport is daft. We see all races in boxing, all progressing in similar fashion. Talent has to be the deciding factor. No matter the race, if the talent isn't there, I'm not a fan. And BTW, I would guess most are like me and just see the world as azzholez and non-azzholez. I don't know why we can't just look at it all as one thing - the human race. Stirring up controversy on the subject doesn't do anyone any good. It gets old the race card being pulled out at a second's notice w/Floydie. Guy's supposed to set an example, not be a whiny royal pain all the time.

I once read Floyd gave less than $50,000 dollars to charity his entire career. I'm not sure if that is true, but I don't believe he is a giver. Not to the poor. He gives to his friends, etc.

If it's anything under $30 mill, it's pathetic. The man made $150 mill in one fight.

Floyd is a well known demestic abusers who can't read. That's a product of his environment. But...

He could have turned this into a lesson to help others. A high profile situation where Floyd learns to read, showing young people that reading is vital, because 99.9% of everyone isn't gonna be rich. No, Floyd didn't use that opportunity. He could have gone out of his way to help combat demestic

No, he focuses on a faux problem within boxing.

Is there bias, yes. And I'm sure a small part is race. (Not that Floyd didn't brilliantly use it to enrich himself, which was awesome. I loved it.). Just not his ring work.

But most the bias is style based. People like fighters who come to put on a fan friendly show. To fight. Not hold, clinch, run and jab.

And don't give me that sweet science BS, stick and move is great.

Tap, run, grab arms, clich, hugg, etc is painful to watch.

Floyd, Ward, Rigo, won't ever get fans to love that style of boxing. Not outside of some hardcore fans.

                      People will love GGG's style.

People will love what Spence appears to bring to the table.

                      These two come to fight.
I don't know why you applaud "stick and move" and then throw Rigondeaux's name in there. The man epitomises that concept. He doesn't tap, run, grab arms, clinch or hug as you say. The man isn't popular because he spends far too much time waiting for his opponent to do something, his punch output is too low and he's sometimes too cautious to finish an opponent when they're hurt which may or may not be due to a weak chin. I'm just saying, accuracy is important.
