I doubt GG would even get $1 million for this fight. He got his first million dollars in the Lemieux fight, which was a PPV.

See how ridiculous these people are? Lara got $1 million each in the Rodriguez and Zaveck fights. Two non-threatening fights. Can you imagine how much he will ask when GG is offered on the table? Quillin wanted Pac/May kind of purses.

They want more than what GG makes.

Not really. Part of what makes the Eubank fight a mega fight is that it would be for a world belt. Otherwise it is just two contenders going at it - pretty much like the last fight. The Blackwell fight is in no way a mega fight.

Most Americans don't understand how big boxing is in Britain at the moment. If Carl Froch could make 6 million pounds fighting George Groves there is no reason why Saunders can't make at least $2-3 million fighting a grudge rematch against Eubank with a world title at stake.

If $2 million is the amount being talked about then I imagine he can.

I think Saunders confidence is probably higher than prior to the Eubank fight when he admitted he wasn't ready for GGG. Since then he has beaten Eubank and Lee - he'll be feeling high on his ability - so I'm not totally writing off Saunders desire.

I assume the titles mean nothing to him.

I'm not convinced. 2-3 million is 4 to 6 times respectively saunders' biggest ever purse (I think). I'm not convinced he could jump that much so quickly against a guy he has already beat t least before the end of 2016. He'd defo break a million for a eubank rematch but after that I dunno.

Sometimes you take a loss on the front end to make a bigger profit on the back end.

If Golovkin wins the WBO it gives him slightly more leverage against Canelo and also makes that fight for the undisputed MW championship - meaning more money in the pot for PPV.

Yeah and if he can then why take a trip over the pond to make same amount. Not to mention he will be the top fighter in his rematch with Eubank and if he does beat Eubank again then this fight is even bigger.

If he can make the same then i see no reason to fight GGG
