It is not surprising. Worst case scenario happened, Saunders beat Lee. Everyone knew that Saunders would milk the title for everything he could without regard to any other titles, and it has come to pass. I'd say take it or leave it, if I were GGG's people.

Well, I don't know for sure but what I said feels about right. Froch had more of a reputation than Saunders currently does but on the other hand, even though Groves was a viable contender and carried the publicity for the 2nd fight, Eubank Jr is equally mouthy as Groves and in addition has the combustible X factor of crazy-mouthy-father-ex.champion creating further promotion - plus of course, just like Groves-Froch, this is second time round for them both and their is grudge - in short a really easy fight to sell to the casual British fan - of which there are millions.

It should easily be worth $2million to Saunders - so if you were Saunders who would you rather fight for the same amount? Eubank who you already beat or Golovkin?

Golovkin's team should take him over to the UK. Take a fixed amount and let Warren offer Saunders a fixed amount + %.

They want more than what GG makes.
Blame Al haymon - lol. He is over paying and other promoters are struggling to keep up.

Some fighters make me laugh. They say that GGG is overrated and hasn't really beaten anyone, yet when it comes time for them to step up to the plate, they want Mayweather/Pacquiao money to face him. Didn't Quillen throw out some out of this world $ figure to fight GGG? Something like $10mil?

People talk like 2 mil $$ is some huge pile of cash. Really when you figure all that comes out of that, it isn't so much. He might end up with a mil $$ after paying the trainers, training camp expenses, taxes (insane in England), sanctioning body fees etc etc. Sure he'd do well, but not great. Especially when you consider GGG is about the most dangerous fight he could choose right now.

But, Saunders and Canelo would probably be the 2 biggest threats to GGG currently. Canelo improves every fight and has some really slick moves going recently, and Saunders is very slick with his style.

Canelo/GGG and Saunders/GGG would be 2 excellent fights though. 2016 looking great so far.
