What a joke of a fight. I can't believe GGG is 34 years old and still hasn't even had a single elite win yet. They are handling Golovkin like a pampered little step-child. When will they really test him?

Unfortunately most of the good/elite at the 168 are part of the same HBO/Showtime feud.

Also, I'd argue that SMW is even thinner than MW in talent. You have:
-Jack: got KOd in the first and all of his wins are controversial, including one over Groves..
-DeGale: who was beaten by the same Groves that Jack got a SD over.
-Abraham: Mr Germany who squeaked by Murray and truly looked his age
        -Bunch of disappointments like Dirrell
-and lastly, a bunch of young kids like Callum Smith

I agree, SMW isn't anything special at the moment. they just want to see GGG in with bigger guys. He might as well continue to clean out 160lb.

shouldnt you be directing that question to the handlers of all the guys unwilling to fight GGG? What exactly are they afraid of?

Yeah! It's a real shame that this is the level of opponent he is still fighting. Yes, he got avoided in the past but its a new year and time for his fans to stop using an excuse from 2014.

The sad part is GGG and his team know in their hearts there is no guarantee they are getting a Canelo fight in 2016. You can't really blame them because HBO is paying him enormous money for these type of lackluster opponents.

He cannot name Lara. Lara is busy fighting murderers row. He got Ishe, Delvin and Jan problems. Alphonso Gomez is next.

                    Happy New Year!

The better fights to be made are in the next weight class above. GGG wants to stay at 160and wait until he gets a Canelo fight, a fight that he may not get. You and the rest of the GGG fans are ok with him staying at 160 until he "unifies". We know this.

The reality is he's done all he can do at 160 EXCEPT get a multi million dollar PPV fight with Canelo. Every time he takes a fight with an 10-1 underdog, its a waste of time for fans. Maybe the fight does happen in 2016. Until then, it doesn't interest me that a guy can be labeled a top p4p fighter yet never have beaten anyone that was less than an 8-1 underdog.

Seriously, how many more easy KO's do you as a fan want to watch?

There is nothing at 168 either. He will run into the same pile of **** there also. Meanwhile in 154 land, we got lots of respected names, and a fairly loaded division by today's standards, not fighting each other. They get no heat for it. 154 is a bunch of guys sitting around. At least GGG is trying to get fights. So GGG has to get a mandatory out of the way, fine. I am still trying to figure out how guys like Ishe, Delvin, Jan, Brundrage, Campfort, pucheta are opponents who get a pass. Explain it to us?
