You think dismissing a win over a 50 year old Hopkins is dissing him? Spend a few months on YouTube and get a boxing education, FFS.

As about "a 50 year old Hopkins":

Ward is only 71" in reach, while Froch is 75".

His last fight showed that he still has the skill, but we won't know if he can still deal with pressure until we see him with top opposition again.
A Prime Froch? The same Froch who was losing to Taylor before he got lucky in the 12 round?...Plus Ward vs Froch was a close fight, Kovalev would have knocked Froch out in his "prime"

It was convenient for him to do so.

Bhop had some kind of very decent record at LHW beating mid to upper-mid level guys.

Ward has yet to show any signs of even wanting to get in a ring with a mid-level LHW. His obvious preference is to fight SMWs at LHW.

If he gets in the ring with Barrera and makes him look ****** I will start to believe he can make a run at LHW.

Today's boxing fans do have the tendacy to believe that once you're touched, hurt, or dropped by a power puncher, the fight is over. Guys get dropped and still win all the time. Its not a big deal.

What the hell is that Booolshit arrogance?

Hopkins was unique so no need to bring in the 50-year-old crap as it didn't apply to him. Prior to that fight NSB was full of posts expressing a mixture of admiration for Hopkin's guts for taking a fight he didn't need to take and a fair few posters thinking he could out-slick Kovalev.

Now posters like you come out and just about straight out say Hopkins was a bum. Didn't you say that? You admitted you were dismissing Hopkins. How come it was a unification fight?

Is that true? Hmmm ... and Kovalev's reach?

People use to label Ward as a 'young B-Hop'. But the level of opposition B-Hop used to face at 175 isn't there any more. Except for Bika, maybe. (I mean ready for a fight in Oakland next.)
