how come floyd avoiding margs for baldomir was a smart business move but ggg cant...

...continue to rack up wins in his own weight class and try to unify in a huge mega-fight against a popular ppv fighter in canelo? (which would do solid numbers on ppv btw)

why are certain critics making such a big deal that he didn't move to 168 where the talent pool is weak to begin with? who could ggg fight at 168 that would get it's own ppv? even if ward's irrelevant ass was still in that weight class (which he isn't), it still wouldn't generate as much buzz as a fight against canelo. no one outside of hardcore boxing fans and swag happy hipsters from oakland even know who he is.

I can't speak for others but I don't have an issue with him waiting for Canelo. It's a big money fight and Canelo is elite. Two birds with one stone. I am however hesitant to give him the acclaim many are doing because he hasn't beat an elite opponent yet, whether his fault or not.

      macklin wasn't elite?

      monroe jr. and lemieux aren't?

whatever your opinion of them, they certainly weren't bums like many ggg critics would have you believe.

well, name me the elite fighters competing at 160, or even 168 for that matter. i guarantee you ggg has at the very least tried to fight them or start negotiations.

Floyd ducked the dangerous Margo to fight an utterly easy fight in Baldomir

Nobody wanted to see that garbage Floyd-Baldomir

just like nobody wanted to see Ortiz, Guerrero, Maidana or Berto

but that's Floyd for you, taking the path of least resistance as usual, **** what the fans want

Macklin and Lemieux were top welters no matter how you look at it

but ofc, for the GGG haters (a fine pack of racists and/or biased nostalgists all of them) everyone GGG fights is a bum. If Floyd or Ward were defeated by GGG, they'd be calling them bums too, claiming they were past their prime, thus the reason they lost to GGG.

Well now it's not an issue cause canelo is right around the corner and ward moved up. But he went from mr 154-168 to 160-164 real quick. That's why people were mad

Maidana Ortiz berto and Guerrero were all more accomplished than macklin and lemeuix lol. How can you praise them then shlt on world champions that Floyd fought? Baldomir was lineal.. Nobody wanted to see that but ggg fought lemeuix all hail ggg! Where's the logic

Floyd didn't duck marg. He wanted more money arum said no. So he left top rank and became the cash cow
