Billy joe saunders & frank warren respond to golovkin offer

Not sarcastic at all. HBO needs to suck it up and do business with people they don't like. Countries that hate each other still trade with one another because it's necessary, and good business, but these guys can't get together for a bloody boxing match? Some of their biggest names have no one of relevance to fight. Kovalev is fighting pascal, again. Who is ggg going to fight if Canelo decides to just drop that belt? Is he going to fight Johnson, Andy lee, korobov? Those are terrible options and do nothing for their vision of what golovkin can become.
I know people **** all over his ppv but I've read multiple stories that said it turned a profit. It still did sell out msg and they sold international rights. Despite a poor ppv I think it's feasible that they made some money. So, why not do the same for the Jacobs fight? Theyve got momentum and I'm sure they could repeat if not beat those last numbers.
On the flipside, I've seen no interest at all from Jacobs/PBC in pursuing Golovkin. All Jacobs has to do is put on the request with the WBA.
It was the same when Quillin had the belt. If it was easy to make a Jacobs fight, whether it's on regular HBO or PPV, something tells me team Jacobs/PBC have no interest right now and I'm sure this something K2 have discussed and understand. With that said, as mentioned after your comment, even if GGG could fight Jacobs next he'd still be stripped of his title since it wouldn't be a unification fight (the only way to get around the IBFs mandatory). Maybe you can make a case Jacobs is worth losing a title for, but given GGGs stance on unifying the division being a priority I doubt he'd be happy with that.Last edited by ИATAS; 01-03-2016, 03:36 AM.Comment

They need to offer Jacobs $3 million and get that fight done. I doubt haymon would turn down a big payday like that for one of his guys. HBO have to stop with the bull**** and get this guy some proper opponents. Boxing is almost becoming unwatchable with all the politics.Comment
