I think a new poll with Crawford, Gonzalez, and Ward added is needed

I don't think Canelo was green when he fought Floyd, nobody is green with 42 fights. He hadn't fought anyone of Floyd's caliber before that but who has? The guy is a special talent and arguably this era's best(no matter how much I hate saying it, but I give respect where it's due).

I could be wrong and this is just my opinion but I think what Canelo learned from the Floyd fight was to fight his fight at all times. He tried too hard playing into Floyd's game in that fight and it cost him.
Totally forgot about Trout, you're right, that was his biggest pre Floyd win.

The fight was close and the KD made the difference, but the right man won.

He wasn't green per se, but he didn't have experience against top level guys, unlike Pac or Cotto, for example.
And because he had 42 fights it doesn't mean he wasn't green, come on now, he started his career when he was 15 and fought Mexican cab drivers for the most part of his early career. We're talking about him being a future FOTD, we don't hold him to the same standards as other fighters.

I agree with the last paragraph.

Canelo is overrated. But let's see what he can do in the next years. Maybe he unifies the 155 division.

If Golovkin can unify 160 and then become champion at 168 I think he has a good chance.

Best odds right now are Golovkin, depending on how far his hype train goes. If he falters once, then it comes down to Canelo or Roman

Don't let personal prejudices get in the way Ward was p4p no.2 behind only Floyd for a reason.

Golovkin would undisputedly knock his ass out, one of the reasons I've no interest in the fight, this is the story of many to all of GGG's opponents they're glorified mismatches before they begin like the Lemieux fight for instance.

Canelo hasn't ever fought a 160 fighter let alone the best at the weight considering the guy was prepared and felt he'd be comfortable versus the no.1 and no.2 in the 168 division this has another mismatch wrote all over it.

I wasn't aware you could be dethroned through inactivity. I seemingly remember Floyd being formally recognised as the no.1 after his prison stint. But I suppose you remember otherwise right ? Has Ward become a worse proposition in his inactivity over a two year period, in the Smith fight I thought he looked as impressive as he ever had, but then that's just my opinion so what the hell does the matter right ? You're the super witted troll aren't you on a site where you amassed the second most votes in the poll for poster of the year I figure that's what this site is all about now, trolling.

Lets raise a glass to trolling
