Canelo and GGG have the best shot at this point. Spence and Valdez have done nothing to even be thrown in the mix yet and the decade is half over. Doubt it will be them.

im with aztekkas on this one

less than 4 years and this decade is over

roman is far ahead in the game imo, easy to see him dominating longer than that

Imagine his resume adds Naoya Inoue, Carlos Cuadras, Juan Francisco Estrada x2, Amnat Ruenroeng, Kazuto Ioka, McWilliams/McJoe Arroyo, Zolani Tete, Shinsuke Yamanaka, Arthur Villanueva, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai and all the other talented fighters in and around 112 - 118. Seriously, the floor is set for him to achieve greatness... It's just a matter of him avoiding the washed up Sosa's, Segura's and Viloria's of the divisions and actually challenging himself.
        THIS!!!!

And I don't want to sound like a hater, but Floyd's wins over those fighters are really overrated.

          Cotto - already Margarito'ed

Pac - no explanation needed, it's a great win on paper, but Floyd beat a post KTFO6 version of Manny.

Canelo - he was green, his best wins came after the Floyd fight.

Mayweather would've beaten these fighters at any point of their careers, but he didn't.
His best wins came after Floyd? Canelo's wins are overrated as well

          Angulo- Shot

Lara- Canelo didn't even really win that fight, but neither did Lara. Horrible performance by both fighters

James Kirkland- Chinny fighter coming off over a year and a half layoff

Cotto- As you said, he'd already been Margarito'ed

And what was his best pre Floyd win? Mosley?

I'm not trying to put Floyd accomplishments down, but the reality is Canelo had fully developed as a fighter after September 2013.

And the schooling he took from Floyd is a key point in Canelo's career. That's a compliment to Floyd.

Fury I think will be a **** and burn career a la heavyweight Haye, cashing out short term. As for Golovkin he needs to challenge himself against opposition who pose a threat, clearly none of those come from middle, if he beats Ward he's up there same with Kovalev but I don't see either beating Ward.

If Ward stays active he can come close to Floyd they're formally recognised as the two best for a reason.
Golovkin would KO Canelo with Canelo fighting at a comfortable weight, this is the difference between a good fighter and a fighter who does just enough.

I wasn't responding to defend Floyd's accomplishments, I was just speaking on how overrated anyone's resume could be. Canelo's best win still IMO is Trout, I honestly don't know how some people claim it could of gone either way, Trout lost by several rounds, although I thought the open scoring was dumb.

I don't think Canelo was green when he fought Floyd, nobody is green with 42 fights. He hadn't fought anyone of Floyd's caliber before that but who has? The guy is a special talent and arguably this era's best(no matter how much I hate saying it, but I give respect where it's due).

I could be wrong and this is just my opinion but I think what Canelo learned from the Floyd fight was to fight his fight at all times. He tried too hard playing into Floyd's game in that fight and it cost him.

i think you meant ward is informally recognized as the best by random people who post on boxing forums. formally no one thinks he's the best. for a reason. check his resume the past 4 years and that's why formally he's not the best.
