Your offense yes. Your defense? You still have work left. You've taken some unnecessary shots from Jesus Soto Karass and Luis Collazo.

you can already tell getting thurman to fight anyone in his career is going to be frustrating for fans. People might talk **** about broner but the cat would fight anybody where as thurman who is supposed to be in that "most avoided group" with ggg and kovalev even tho we have seen thats all bs with those 3 does his best to kill fights.Comment

WBA welterweight champion Keith 'One Time' Thurman (26-0, 22KOs) is ready for a tentative fight with former IBF champion Shawn 'Showtime' Porter (26-1-1, 16KOs).
BoxingScene.com reported on Friday that Thurman-Porter was being targeted for March 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight is looking like a primetime headliner for CBS.

Hopefully this gets made at least Thurmans acknowledging the fight now....
Porter ain't got no chin and Thurmans is suspect as well. I'd like Porter to win but it's another 5050. If Thurman can stick to his jab and move stay on the outside he will have a great chance, but I think Thurman despises pressure. He don't know what to do and his inside game is horrible.
Shawn may be physically stronger if he can bully Keith work the body and keep him on his back foot Porter will win. Just depends on who will impose their style.
I'm leaning more towards Porter in this one though.Comment

I'm also thinking Porter wins on pressure and his patented bull-rushing. And he beats the he!! outta the body, which Thurman hates.Hopefully this gets made at least Thurmans acknowledging the fight now.... Porter ain't got no chin and Thurmans is suspect as well. Thurman is also good at countering too and since Porter sometimes leaves himself open after his attacks, that would give Thurman the opportunity to land his own shots, which I think packs more power than Porter's.Hopefully this gets made at least Thurmans acknowledging the fight now....

You always come in Thurman threads trying to talk nonsense about Broner fighting anybody and Thurman not wanting to fight anybody. You know you're full of it. You know it's not true.you can already tell getting thurman to fight anyone in his career is going to be frustrating for fans. It's okay to like a fighter that hits hard.Comment

Thurman throws better straighter punches and knows how to tie up in close. That right there is a recipe for beating Porter, unless he pulls a Boner and forgets to throw straight punches for 11 rounds.
The notion that Thruman is afraid just doesn't make sense if you watched their fights. Do people think Porter is just going to caveman Thurman like he did Malinaggi. Thurman may be an odd duck but dude is not likely to get steamrolled like that at 147.Comment

You look at everyone that Thurman has faced so far. Ghost and Chaves are the only legit boxers that he has faced that aren't almost 40 years old. Ghost was way too slow (IMO, his lack of speed and lack of defense were the main reasons he was selected as the opponent) and had the wrong game plan.
Now, I'm not saying that Thurman doesn't have skills, he has great power, speed, and reflexes. That being said, he has been coddled for the most part throughout his career so far which is strange for a guy that is supposed to be taking over 147 (according to many people). He gets sloppy when he attacks and he swings wide after the first 2 or 3 rounds. I'm just not sold on him and I sense that he may not really be ready to step up his game for real challenges.Comment
