matthysse is the bigger star so if Herrera is going to go after the bigger stars, then I'd propose matthysse. In my opinion, Ruslan would be just a money maker but won't do much for his career.

Dude you all over the map first you say he should get a string of easy fights now you saying take the bigger name fight now even if it has the most potential for abuse. Lol. Of course Herrera wants big money fights and is fighting for money he's almost 36. That's what I told you in my first response! Ruslan and Matthysee are both similar in fanbase if Matthysse is a bigger name it's only slightly. A win over either guy is huge for Herrera and he gets another big fight afterwards. He was offered 3 big money fights and in terms of danger of losing it goes Crawford, Matthysse, and Ruslan. He would rather the least dangerous fight of the 3 big fights he was offered.Comment

there are two directions here for Herrera: tough fights and "easier" fights. I would recommend easier fights right now because he's had some tough losses and he needs to build up his confidence. the other option is to go after the bigger stars, so if that's his choice then I'd say Lucas.Comment

If he fights Crawford and manages to win, he is getting robbed......(And the HBO-Compubox propaganda will be completely against him and will diminish the public outcry when they rob him).
Should fight Matthysse. Well known, coming off a tough loss and a fresh matchup.Comment

The only reason to take the Crawford fight would be the immediate payday. Against foreign guys like Provo and Matthysse we will not only get a better fight, but Herrera can get the decision and leverage a win into a bigger paydayComment
