So I assume the idiots who claimed Thurman was ducking will come and kindly eat some crow? Nah didn't think so.. -

Fair play to Big Gay Al, he's taken a solid but not particularly significant fight between two contenders and delayed it enough to the point where we're now talking about it like it's the Leonard-Hearns or De La Hoya-Trinidad of our era.Comment

I hope this finally comes off, Thurman's been out too long already. Sounds risky of Haymon to make this an afternoon fight, but I like it. If they can reestablish boxing on a weekend afternoon (so long as it's quality), that could really grow the sport's popularity.Comment

It's CBS in Primetime bro.Comment

To grow the sport's popularity, that would require some actual promoting on the part of PBC. They don't seem to grasp the whole marketing and advertising aspect.Comment

I hope Thurman wasn't having to rehab his shoulders/hands on the DL and that being the case why he stayed quiet and this was delayed.Comment

I had to re-read it.
The show will air live in the inaugural installment of Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on CBS in primetime, with at least one other major bout – potentially a title fight - added to the telecast. The series has previously aired on the free-to-air network in Saturday afternoon editions, as well as two special Sunday afternoon showings. The March 5 show will help launch a new time slot, the third such time in as many fights that Thurman (26-0, 22KOs) will perform such a role.
Should do very well. Just glad they won't waste it on Showtime like the Jacobs/Quillin fight. You almost have to wonder if Showtime is hurting the PBC?Comment

Yeah that's what I was fearing glad they wised up and excited to see boxing in primetime on another major network.Comment
