i agree with Floyd for the mot part. He has repeated this several times, which is annoying, but his sentiment has been seconded by black fighters. Race is touchy, not all of us have the ability to discuss it without going off the deep end. I am going to try. I think Floyd's comments are directed at HBO, I don't think Arum is a racist, or Lou, or Tom, and so on, and so forth, but HBO has done some questionable things in terms of the fighters they have that are white. Steering Ward away from GGG, towards the bigger SK while disrespecting Ward is an example. Lamps got on the fight game, and snatched Wards earned PFP #1 ranking because he won't fight a light heavyweight? I also noticed there is what, one black fighter in the top 5? Its questionable. I also notice quite a bit of anger towards black fighters, now, broner, and stevenson are knuckle heads, and deserve it, but there is questionable things going in boxing, no doubt about it. By the way,Danny Garcia gets no respect because he fights bums and presents himself as an elite fighter. He talks in 3rd person yet only seems interested in getting in the ring with faded opposition.

Doug Fischer's response
From Dougie's Friday Mailbag -
There’s not much to say about Mayweather’s latest diatribe on Fighthype.com, other than the obvious observation that the man is a racist cretin with his head up his ass.
It’s real simple: If you don’t even know the name of a fighter, you don’t need to be criticizing his place in any rankings. If you want to question his ranking, learn his damn name, look up his credentials and watch his fights. And, for the love of God, don’t dismiss him just because he’s a different nationality.
Add hypocrisy to Mayweather’s ignorance and bias. He says Andre Ward (who is lucky to be ranked No. 4 in THE RING’s Pound-For-Pound ratings given his inactivity and the quality of his recent opposition) should not go to 175 pounds and should not fight Sergey Kovalev. Yet he says the supposedly “media-hyped” Gennady Golovkin needs to leave middleweight and fight Ward at super middleweight. (He also says the media should diss GGG for “calling out” lighter fighters. Should we criticize Ward for calling out GGG? Oh, wait, that would be racist in Floyd’s racist mind.)
You know what? F__k him. He’s only going to get crazier as he gets older. Let’s keep the focus on active fighters who put on good fights, and this week, those fighters got down in Japan.

Floyd has an OPINION on how the players on his team is being treated...so he's racist?!?....Floyd is outspoken and sometimes that works against him
where's the weirdo dude who was in the Poster Of The Year thread raining tears?!?...talking about some black supremacy and trying to keep the white boy down blah blah?!?...pop up and deposit your two pennies on this matter...that should be interesting

It is the hypocrisy that bugs me more than anything. Floyd saying all these young lions are not getting their due attention. Guess what Floyd, for how many years did you downplay many of those fighters saying they were undeserving to get in the ring with you? You killed your own argument right there.
Also, if you want a fighter to become a star, match them tough and get them fighting often. That strategy has been proven through the ages. Now you and Haymon have a bunch of guys afraid to take risks. Sure we have a few exceptions like Porter who would get in the ring with anyone. Why can't Haymon even feed that guy?

Why would HBO go out of their way to promote Hayman fighters?
When in his career has Andre Ward been forced to anything other than what's best for him.
How many of these great black/Haymon fighters did Mayweather co feature when he was at the height of his career?

Wards done enough ducking and vacationing. Nice to see HBO putting their foot down and telling these prima donna
s no more freebies. You wanna get paid? you must take a risk.

I think it's a business decision for HBO not to talk about all the boxers Mayweather mentioned. Broner was hyped on HBO ad naseum until he jumped ship and eventually lost. So was most of the boxers he mentioned. I understand why HBO would try to appeal to a certain audience especially when that's really all they have left. Boxing is still a business and with all businesses you go where the money takes you. Right now HBO is banking on the Eastern European route. At the end of the day they'll settle back on a more diverse set of boxing stars.
