Very True! Watched Willie Nelson make Tony Harrison fall apart mentally during their match and when he got knocked down even he admitted he did not know what to do because he never been knocked down or hurt so he end up turning his back to the ref and the ref called the fight

Forgot just fighting weak opponents and scoring quick KO's within 2-4 Rounds, instead get some rounds in, take some chances and test yourself. Know your damn weaknesses before stepping up competition, don't find out during the biggest match of your life then try to go back and fix things

the problem with boxing ANYONE can go pro.. any bum off the street can sign up to fight with no skills but brawling, and fighters with good managers like haymon will take advantage and pad records.

Yes pretty much anyone can go pro but to make it anywhere near the top requires a great amount of talent

Absolutely true. Whenever I see a "how good is x fighters?", my response is always "we don't know how good he is until he faces adversity."
Floyd showed me when he faces adversity he changes his style, adapts to what his opponent is doing and comes out victorious. When Manny Pacquiao gets cracked he punches his hands together and throws vicious combos.
THAT shows the true mettle of a fighter.

                meh, i disagree.
some ppl just dont have the ability to recover lol, but are they good? yea definitely!

but i understand what people mean by the "hurt test".

meh, no correct answer here in my opinion.

                  Very very true.

You can have all the talent and skills in the world if you aren't durable or don't have it mentally you won't make it at the top or atleast won't stay around long if you fight the top fighters.

Take Lucian Bute as an example. Talented and skilled and looked amazing against less than stellar opposition then when he stepped up and fought Froch he folded like a cheap lawn chair by the third round round.

                      Disagree.

Coming back from being hurt has more to do with the ability to take one and recover. Too many variables in boxing for such a blanket statement.
