Not sure if it really was as big of an upset as they try to make it out to be. All you had to do was box him up from the inside since Wlad literally has no inside game at all. It's almost as if he's dumbfounded when attempting to try to fight on the inside. All he knew was to clinch and lean. Aside from that, you take away his jab and monster straight right and you got a W.

Wlad threw the fight to collect big time in Macau Bets
Wlad and Vitali made over $50 million on throwing the Fury fight in Hong Kong and macau and Monte Carlo side bets. So easy for a boxing match to be fixed if the favored fighter takes a dive. Wlad suckered everyone and made a fortune. Now the rematch will be different as Wlad regains his title belt over the clumsy lopsided soft Oaf Fluff Fury. Watch how this plays out. The Ukraine made millions for armaments also betting on Wlad to lose the fight. Wlad helped his country make millions to rearm and defend itself against their oppressors. Fact. Boxing is as crooked a sport and so easy to fix fights.Comment

Millions were placed on Fury to win the Wlad fight in Hong Kong and Macau huge bets which are still being investigated but apparently little can be done as Wlad lost. This happens all the time especially in boxing when a fighter goes along. Look at the fight as Wlad had no interest in winning. 6 punches thrown a round by Wlad. It's a way of life in the betting world as fixes are in the making all the time.Comment

True, there were other upsets just as big and, in terms of action and KO's, more eventful. The Fury - Klitschko gets the nod here because of the importance of the fight, but is a fight we will not want to remember. For me Glowacki taking the cruiserweight title away from the long reigning champion Huck, both fighters fighting for the 1st time on the American soil, was the real upset/fight of the year, tough and bloody, momentum shifts, both down, Round 6 might be the round of the year as well, like the commentators say this is the kind of story you watch boxing for, I will remember this fight over the years.
Another huge upset that was not mention anywere: Durodola TKO2 Kudryashov, Kudryashov was seen as an unstoppable force in the cruserweight division, coming to this fight with a record of 18 wins all by ko including some human highlights kos over quality opponents like Francisco Palacios and Juan Carlos Gomez. Durodola a huge underdog, was known for having some pop, started the fight well but was badly hurt to the body in the 1st round by the Russian Hammer, in the 2nd gain back his composure to put throw combinations that hurt and finally stopped the highly feard Russian power puncher.
Other notable upsets that are coming in my mind: Edgar Jimenez MD10 Ivan Morales, Eden Sonsona TKO2 Adrian Estella, Badou Jack UD12 Anthony Dirrell, Willie Nelson TKO9 Tony Harrison, Viktor Postol KO10 Lucas Matthysse
But Fury/Wlad was a more significant fight than any of them, and I for one found it fascinating and exciting to watch. Not just for Fury's brilliant defensive boxing, but because of the tension and uncertainty of wondering whether he could keep it up for the whole fight, or if he was going to lose concentration and leave himself open to one of Wlad's block-buster right hands or left hooks.Comment
