Can't see this happening unless there are Kazakhstan groupies involved in the deal along with other perks as the previous poster suggested.

Too many options out there still that I like better for him in pay & his chances of winning. I think he can actually shock Canelo in the ring cuz I believe BJS to have a higher boxing IQ & Canelo's power to be vastly overrated, but maybe he gets shocked by the scorecards. I wouldn't hate his chances vs Jacobs either tbqh, I think Jacobs is probably one of the most overrated guys in the game right now after his KO1 of Quillin.

And I'd probably even say I wouldn't hate his chances against GGG (based on the limited, but noticeable minor success Monroe's craftiness had vs GGG that I think BJS's skill set would have more success with) if BJS hadn't showed such reluctance to fight him already. I'm not sure how much money can get him flipping from never wanting to fight GGG to wanting him in the summer of 2017 to getting him in March of 2016 or whatever, but I bet its a lot + some perks.

If I was BJS I'd be waiting on an offer from Canelo - more $s and less risk. Making this fight would be a really good idea for Canelo - legitimise his MW title, unify. It ain't an easy fight for the Ginger One by any stretch, but definitely winnable, especially on home turf.

After what Saunders has said in the past about fighting GGG, I doubt this fight gets made for this year.

If this fight happens next, wow you gotta give K2/HBO some credit, because nobody expected Lemiuex to fight GGG, and a lot less expected is the BJS fight.

            Purses:
            GGG: 1.5M
            Saunders: 2M

UK venue, UK judges, Kazakhstan groupies, and all the UK money from TV rights

thats the only way BJS take this fight.

There is not much in Tuerano and Saunders at the moment beating either of them at the moment means roughly the same, decent win.

I just don't really see the need to pluck Saunders ahead of his time, they made this mistake with Lemieux but if they would have let the guy actually become something before taking him out it is a much bigger fight.

If he is going to hang out at 160 fighting these guys at the right time is important for him.

                "firm" because could mean anything

                Quote:
"While there has been no conversation with Eubank snr we have been in communication with Gennady Golovkin’s people, who have approached us with a firm offer of a unification fight with Triple G.

I know Billy Joe has intimated he may not be quite ready for this but money talks louder than anything in boxing and such are the sums involved it is one certainly worth considering.

We will be sittting down to talk about the future with Billy Joe once he has enjoyed his break. He has some really tasty options out there and whatever happens we will come up with something really special."

Maybe why TJ fight hasn't been announced yet

                Still doubt it TBH
Warren is only hyping Saunders vs Eubank Jr for the next summer... Nothing more.
The U.K. home fights make the biggest gateway money over there.

I don't know how many options he has either way. 160 is as bad as divisions get. Any one of the contenders can lose their status quite easily by being beaten etc. But yea, I don't see much benefit in beating a guy like saunders. Right now it gets you a belt and a payday. I guess that's pretty important tho. But it isn't a fight anyone is clamoring to see. Not sure what K2 does. If they don't secure that Canelo fight by years end, it's a monumental waste of a year.

If their goal is to hang out at 160 which seems to be their deal, some of these fights need to build up a bit. I mean people hate that letting a fight get ripe talk but pulling a guy right when he starts to get some shine is pretty wasteful, there is some risk involved because these guys are beatable but not much because these guys are not huge stars so if the status resets it is not that big of a deal.

Plus if they actually get the Canelo fight and win what is next, if the earth is scorched from beating down anyone with the slightest bit of shine (on that side of the street) that leaves him kind of where he is before the fight. If someone has been building some shine there is an obvious next move.

Plus Warren is probably looking at Saunders and wondering which of the decent fighters at MW he can risk him against and how much those fights would generate. 1 fight vs Golovkin could be worth 3 fights vs unexciting opponents or even dangerous ones who might upset him.

I'm just speculating, doe. Could be Saunders generates more £££ than I'm giving credit for or Golovkin's offer is good but not great in which case staying home would be the smart move. Wouldn't surprise me if we saw BJS vs Shane Mosley instead knowing Warren.
BJS could always develop into a draw, especially if he's holding a world title. The Lee fight was an expected flop. It took a year to come off only to have it a week before Chritsmas, in the mean time Bill did nothing. Another Eubank fight at the end of next year or sometime in 2017 could elevate his popularity considerably after he makes 2-3 defenses. He could always fight Langford, the winner of Rose/Macklin as well as Liam Smith.

Still waiting to see if Haymon throws a lot of money his way to go fight Jacobs in NY. I think he'd get better than $1.5mill for that fight, but then again he'd lose his ass on the taxes as an international fighter in NY.
