At this stage Saunders is far ahead of TJ.
Yea, for the first 5 rounds, then TJ will just outwork him the rest.

Never said he had the better resume, i said TJ > Saunders fight wise.

I'd take TJ in a fight between the two

You Golovkin fanboys are such big fans of sanctioning body belts. As if beating Billy Joe Saunders has any meaning whatsoever.

      But but WBO doe.

yeah saunders's record is actually pretty good. very eurocentric, but there's not that big a gap between euro level and world level at MW right now anyway. lee, eubank jr, o'sullivan, ryder, fletcher, blandamura and blackwell. not a bad line-up, especially considering he took most of their 0s

Far ahead? I wouldn't say that. Either way, neither are appealing options. Saunders is clearly the better option.

I was convinced that Lemieux would pass on Golovkin, in hindsight I think he and GB wished they would've. They could've made more money had they waited and got more exposure on HBO and then fight GGG. Same thing with Warren/Saunders. Like Lemieux in Canada, they have a decent income to be had in the UK and it'll only go up from here. I guess Lemieux/GB had pressure from HBO, Warren/Saunders don't. There's a plethora of easy ranked WBO fighters for Warren to choose from including his own fighter in Langford.

And BJS would have his way with Tureano Johnson.

IMO, more like pressure on GBP. They were saying they'd make a mando for their IBF, and there was no mando to do a fight with.

THen if they did their voluntary, HBO probably wasn't as willing to make a fight other than GGG, but GBP also has a minimum with Lemieux. So it's not like they can take him back to FS2.

BJS doesn't really have anything to worry about. If they can make those home defenses they will... if not, they'll call Andy Lee up again or Eubanks

I hope Saunders/Warren don't take too long in shooting down K2's offer, I'm interested in watching how negotiations go down for Loeffler's #2 option - Danny Jacobs.

There's important questions to be answered there. I can't imagine K2/GGG/HBO would go through all these unification efforts only to allow Jacobs & Wade to strip them via purse bids.

WBA didn't resolve anything during their convention.. at least nothing I saw.

TJ in the wings right now waiting

I think the difference is that Lemieux is more of a draw, he could've stayed home and made good money but I'm not sure Saunders has that big of a fanbase despite having 2 top 10 wins now. Plus Warren is probably looking at Saunders and wondering which of the decent fighters at MW he can risk him against and how much those fights would generate. 1 fight vs Golovkin could be worth 3 fights vs unexciting opponents or even dangerous ones who might upset him.

I'm just speculating, doe. Could be Saunders generates more £££ than I'm giving credit for or Golovkin's offer is good but not great in which case staying home would be the smart move. Wouldn't surprise me if we saw BJS vs Shane Mosley instead knowing Warren.
