  • Comments Thread For: Top Rank Won't Market April 9 As Pacquiao's Last Fight

As boxing awaits the official announcement of Manny Pacquiao’s next – and perhaps final – opponent, his team prepares for what they plan to be a major event.

What has been confirmed so far is that the former eight-division champ will return to the ring on April 9, with the show to take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

If He's fighting Bradley then it better be his last fight. Otherwise how do you defend that selection? The selection is terrible to begin with, but at least fans can somewhat forgive because it's being billed as Pacquiao's last fight. Let Pacquiao got out on his own terms etc.

But if he's going to fight again, then that would be an absolute joke of an opponent selection. If it isn't already.

Not many will agree with me but with Pacquiao's preference of Bradley for his next fight, I wouldn't mind Pacquiao-Bradley III (to establish a WW lineage) with Crawford-Postol (to establish a JWW lineage) on the undercard. Would be an interesting card at least from a nerd's perspective.

“We won’t sell it as Manny’s final fight,” Hall-of-Fame promoter Bob Arum told BoxingScene.com. “We won’t do that for the simple fact that – anything could happen. Sure, it could very well be his last ever fight. But should he turn around one day and say he wants to fight again, we will look like a bunch of hucksters in selling the fight that way.
Oh so Arum is worried about being a huckster now huh. lol okay.

And who would Floyd have to explain to??? Lol it's not like someone is going to stop him and say oh no you can't fight.. How many trilogies has this guy been in?? Manny got to start beating these guys convincingly like Floyd does..
