Mayweather was so good he only need two rematches out of 49 fights

Hell Manny fought jmm 4x, Morales 3x, Barrera 2x(no need for that one), Bradley 2x...why?? because he was never as dominant as Mayweather...just face it

People overrate Barrera and Morales to pump up Pac-Man knowing damn well neither were at their peak when he fought them after wars with each other and others from the late 90s til their match ups

Anyway when looking at their overall resume, and who they defeated....Mayweather wins hands down

That's a pretty solid point. Floyd haters and Pac lovers will ignore that fact though and still claim Pac was the better fighter.

Second there are other fighters who retired undefeated like Joe Mesi and even Edwin Valero (yes I know he died) so records are important but I wish more fighters would worry less about that and more about who they are fighting and at what point in their career they are fighting them. I fear that Mayweather set a standard of avoiding fights when they were important and picking those names up on his resume later so the history books will only show all these great names and no defeats. Definitely smart move, but dont play into it and feed into it by calling him the best of this era based on his record or other fighters will mimick that strategy.
True, all we want is for Floyd to take risks that are comparable to those who came before him

I however disagree with the Bradley fight. Everyone knows Pac was robbed in that fight. Pac was a victim of horrible judging (CJ Ross) that night.

Pac won that fight, but he also let Bradley back in the fight, taking rounds off and breaks mid round

the problem with that statement is, you dont choose you era or who is in

what we do know is he took risks....name the fighters in history who won lineal titles below lightweight and above welterweight

you dont fight over 10 lineal champions and 20 major titleholders across 5 weight class spanning 24 pounds without taking risks.

The media got people who really dont follow the sport, eating out of their hands with believing statements like that

What was he supposed to do, fight light heavyweights??? He turned pro weighing 130 and below

There was nothing left looking back that could have enhanced his resume except beating Kostya Tsyzu at 140 between 04-05....im sure it would have been the usual he was shot, yadda yadda bull shyt...Floyd was calling him out since 1999-2000

No, like fight GGG at160. That would be comparable to Duran vs hagler and Barkley. Most think Duran is greater than Floyd and would beat him. So at least do something comparable risk wise. If Floyd does well, therred be no reason to dismiss Floyd out of sight

Floyd was great, Pacquaio was great, ODH was great, Ward is great, Golovkin is great, Hopkins is not human, Fury for all his shhh outside of the ring is great.
Do you agree with Freddie Roach or no?

bruh....Mayweather is retired....GGG could start taking risks...dude is will be 34 years old, has one win over a reigning title holder, and defeated 3 total....Geale who is decent, Kassim Ouma who was shot to bits, and Lemieux who just won the IBF

Floyd had a better resume than GGG by the time he was 24 years old and only 27 fights in.....having been lineal champion, shouldve held the IBF as well but they stripped undefeated Corrales...He defended the lineal title 8 times at 130

After the same amount of fights GGG has today, he was a lineal title holder in 2 weight classes, 11 total defenses and won a major title in a third weight class

How about GGG move up 8 pounds.... or to 175 is 15 pounds up the scale and GGG comes in over 170 on fight night

whereas when Mayweather turned pro @ 130 and below and you expect him to go up two weight classes from his last fight, after having fought in 5 from 130-154?????

that just shows how great some of his detractors think he really is, when the number 3 pound for pound fighter and boogeyman isnt expected to move up but a guy in his 4th weight class should

Floyd wants to be compared to the greats like Ali and durasn so why you comparing GGG to Floyd?
Floyd fought many smaller men in his career, so let GGG fight one smaller man before GGG steps up to cruiserweight. GGG is sent from god for Floyd to become great. Its in Floyd's court now!
