Mexicans getting scared and it's not even May.

Although it's not only Mexicans, anyone who likes Canelo knows GGG works him over now. They hope to wait him out.

Canelo just just vacate, say I'm a vagina and I'm scared of GGG and be done with it.

GGG should stop holding out for a big money fight with Canelo. Fight Jacobs then move up to 168 to fight Andre Dirrell to test the waters.
Jacobs wants nothing to do with GGG. He asks for more money than he knows he'll ever get, just to ensure he doesn't face GGG.

I hope GGG just gets the belt in May and moves on. Canelo is a fake anyways.

      War Khan!

This is precisely why the average UFC PPV card is kicking the crap out of the average boxing one! The best fight the best in each division and fans don't have to wait ages for fights to "marinate" and guys can't duck their #1 contender and/or demand catchweights when they are fighting in the same damn division! Only really big PPV fights like May/Pac or the recent Cotto/Canelo fight can beat them. This is why Floyd's actions were so damaging to the sport. Does Garcia really think we were better off seeing the May/Pac fight 5 years too late because it made so much money? The fans got screwed and we are the ones making these a$$holes rich! I like Robert Garcia but he needs to stop this kind of rhetoric. Now we have trainers and commentators (Merchant and Kellerman) putting their promotional hats on? That's great, who's next, ring card girls? I wonder when the Corona chicks think the fight should happen? That will be the next headline: "Veronica the Corona Girl Thinks Canelo/GGG Should Be in 2020".

whether its 2017 or 2016 this fight will happen it HAS to.canelo is too proud to just surrender his belt and he doesn't want to be remembered for ducking golovkin like cotto did.mexican fans are already demanding him to fight ggg and the pressure is only going to get bigger.meanwhile oscar and the rest of gbp pray and hope that golovkin loses before he can get canelo in the ring.

canelo is as ready as he'll ever be. the only reason to delay the fight now is to wait for golovkin to show his age

This is precisely why boxing is in the ****ed up state that it's in. Champions being encouraged to delay and let fights marinate a year or two until they feel they're ready.

Mayweather-Pacquiao isn't any example to follow. That entire period was an embarrassment and a serious low point for the sport.

I don't mind it marinating so long as Golovkin can fight some quality opponents in the mean time like Jacobs and Lara. But if Alvarez really wants to claim to be a JMW still, then he should give up that belt and stick to fighting JMW's like J-Rock, Andrade and Jermell Charlo.

I agree only thing I fear is GGG suffering a Ko defeat before then and then the lure of the fight kinda dies.
