Arum refusing to let Pac pick Broner for his last fight is downright blasphemous

    Here are the FACTS:
    • Pac has been signed to Top Rank for the majority of his PPV career
    • Pac has made Bob Arum and Top Rank MILLIONS of dollars from various outlets including PPV and merchandise
    • Pac has been extremely loyal and obedient to Bob Arum despite people in his own camp asking him to go solo
    • Bob Arum has forced Pac to participate in in-house fights for the better part of his career with Top Rank
    • Bob Arum only shot down the Broner fight because he's not with Top Rank, therefore he doesn't get 100% of the money

To not let him pick Broner for his last fight is outrageous. And we know Pac WANTS to fight Broner, because he was the one that gave the green light for his manager Michael Koncz, to make a personal phone call to Broner to make the fight. There is no doubt in my mind, Pac wanted to fight Broner. Broner is someone that Pac can get excited and motivated for. I mean, compare Broner to guys like Bradley and Crawford. How is Pac supposed to get motivated for a guy who he schooled twice and another guy who will use footwork and movement and force Pac to chase him around?

The real reason he shot Broner down, in my opinion, is for TWO reasons. Number one being that Broner isn't signed to Top Rank, he's signed to his "rival" Al Haymon. And Number two is because Pac and Knocz went behind Arum's back to try to negotiate with Broner. This likely made Bob HEATED. This man is a snake and I can't wait till hes out of boxing for good. What a joke.

Pac has dedicated 21 years to this brutal sport, his accolades are out of this world. Let the man pick Broner for his final fight if he wants to, Bob. This isn't about you, it's about the man they call "Pacman".

It's a snake move by Bob Arum. Arum is a scumbag.

It's a justifiable move by Arum. Pac is signed to Top Rank, so he fights who they tell him to.

For those inquiring, here is the article where Arum shoots down the fight. It's also mentioned he had a "sit down" with Knocz and told him what's up. It wouldn't surprise me if Arum berated him for trying to work behind his back again. But the difference is Knocz wants what's best for Pac, Arum doesn't.

As Top Rank CEO Bob Arum was away on vacation last week, the name of Adrien Broner came up as a possibility as Manny Pacquiao's opponent on April 9th. Admittedly, this was news to the veteran promoter.

I don't even know what this means. Do you have an opinion or not? Even if you need to type it in Spanish, so be it.

Pacquiao's fault. He shouldn't have signed an extension.

I agree, but after the many countless years Pac has worked for Top Rank, they should at the very least let him pick his last fight. They have no integrity whatsoever. Bob is just mad that Broner isn't signed to Top Rank, thus he won't get to double dip with another in-house fight.

            It is unfair.

Pacquaio is not only a legend and an icon but he has made Arum an insane amount of money over the last decade+.

He deserves to go out on his own terms.

              Agree wholeheartedly.

Bob desperately wants the Bradley fight. He's trying to hype up the "trainer" beef between Roach and Teddy. What a joke.

Can't blame Arum. Of course, he had to look after his own interest and his company. Bradley becomes his new cash cow if he beats Paqcuiao. Not only that, Manny then will be tempted to break his retirement plan and a 4th rematch would be a huge possibility. Arum believes Bradley has the best chances of beating Paqcuiao.

Oh, don't get me wrong. He deserves the option of choosing who he faces, especially if it's his last fight, but this is Arum we're talking about here. We shouldn't expect much from him.

Arum is thinking about the money, as always.

I believe Pac should retire on a fight of his choosing, but I don't expect Arum to just let it happen.
