I'm gonna go with Barrera. His hook downstairs is almost automatic, & is much harder than any other punch he throws.

co sign this post, barreras left hook to the body is lethal, he actually made hes name with that punch back in the day, its only recently that hes become more of a boxer rather than a slugger that perhaps people forget how good he is when he throws that left hook to the body.

Castillo is the exact same way. His hook to the body and head or head to body is one of the most fluid in the game today. It's not all about power in my opinion. When Castillo throws the left is just so smooth and natural looking.

not the most viscious on the list , but castillo had def made the most of his capabilites by developing this skill

I'd say Barrera or Cotto. I smile everytime they throw it. Simply gorgeous. I'll say this: there's a difference between having the better left-hook to the body and having the better, more effective body attack. Like Gringo previously stated, going to the body is a significant portion of Hatton's gameplan. He focuses a lot of his attention on the body, but i don't think he throws the left-hook downstairs as nicely as the aforementioned Latino fighters.

Ask Corrales how good of a body puncher Castillo is. After all Corrales needed help getting around at the post fight press conference after thier fight.

Hatton is more of a body puncher. But he doesnt have one individual left to the body where you just say WOW. His whole plan is to pressure and throw as many punches as he can to the body. when you look at his individual left hooks to the body its not as great as cotto/barreras

Cotto and Barreras have the best left hooks to the body in the business and Im surprised so many people picked hatton. Hatton does have incredible stamina though.

do you guys remember the left hook to the body that barrera landed on ayala as he was already going down. It was vicious. I wish I had a Gif of that
