    Comments Thread For: Carl Froch: I Retired on Top, Left Fans Wanting More

    Former WBC/IBF/WBA super middleweight champion Carl Froch (33-2, 24KOs) is still very much in retirement.

    Froch's last fight was in May 2014, when he knocked out George Groves before a crowd of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.

    Lighten up Carl, its ok to give credit to others who achieve without interjection of your own ego. Make sure you work on that and you will become the endearing pundit

          On top?

          This would be like David Haye saying he retired on top after beating Chisora

          Ward was the Wlad of his division and Froch got totally outclassed

            People I just realized that Carl is right... but the quote was supposed to say: "Joe Calzaghe retired on top (not I)."

              I wouldn't go that far because Froch was clearly the 2nd best at 168 when he retired...David Haye cancelled every fight and ran from Wlad for 12 rounds... can't really compare the 2..but I get the sentiment overall...

                I wanted to see him fight Chavez Jr. at Wembly in front of 80,000 fans for his last fight but oh well. He had a great career.

                  Haye was the second best HW at the time.

                  Chisora = Goerge Groves

                  Froch didnt retire at top, Joe Cal did though

                  Carl was beat up by a one handed Ward
